The Bourgeios Mansion was truly something to behold. It was adjacent to the Grand Paris, making it a convenient place for the family. The building was large and a bit older, being on the Notre Dame-esque style. A large gate made sure nobody could get in. Not even Chat Noir could sometimes get through security.

Sometimes.

Chloé smoothed down her skirt with both hands before looking up at her date with the most fakest smile she could muster.

She blinked innocently with her long thin black lashes and her sparkly blue eyes. Her lips were thin and red. She ran her painted nails over a strand of blonde hair and tucked it behind her ear.

"Well, uhh, I had a...lovely time."

Kim had a look crossed between gee thanks and please don't try and hide it, it makes it way worse. The boy was sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck, looking painfully guilty. His tux was a bit more rumbled than at first, and his over the top confidence had basically disappeared.

It wasn't his fault really, Chloé had basically everything on the menu at the Grande Paris, and unless the date could muster up something interesting, it was like every other one she went on. The only part that was remotely interesting was when that weird guy in a cat mask came in all of a sudden.

As she stood by the gate that barred her entrance to her mansion she shared an awkward pause with Kim. She clasped her hands together awkwardly, trying not to look directly at him. Then she realised he was suddenly extremely close to her.

He's gonna kiss me isn't he? Dammit.

Chloé desperately tried to find a way out.

As Kim was inching closer, she immediately leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. Without giving him enough time to register what just happened, she pressed the fingerprint identification to her house and the gates flew open.

"Bye Ti-, I mean -Kim! I hope we can see each other again!" she called back as she did her fastest sashay back to the mansion. She didn't dare look back to see his face.

She left poor Kim with his hand over his cheek, sulking as he walked away.

She threw open the front doors to her mansion and slammed them behind her, rushing past the front hallway.

"A good night, Ms Bourgeios?"

"Hardly, Jean-Claude," Chloé replied impatiently as she raced to her room.

She didn't even bother to turn on the lights. She just felt like turning into a puddle and disappearing altogether.

Her nose scrunched up with annoyance in herself.

Why did I lie to Penny and say I had a date with Adrien? Ughh...

She felt like crying hard.

I just wanted to impress her...she left for America for two weeks after all...

Her body fell on her bed in a face-plant, burying the girl in red satin.

She stayed for a few moments, then realised dying would only result in not being able to meet her mom in a few months. She looked out her large glass window to see the buildings that littered down from her house. Lights in the distance flickered on and off, the Eiffel Tower seemed to be particularly bright that morning too.

Parisian slums...still as ugly as ever.

She reached in her jacket and fished out her phone. The screen illuminated and the dull text of "11:50" appeared. Her wallpaper showed a cute selfie of her and her arm wound over Adrien's shoulder.
