Jimin sat on the bed, tightly holding his stomach in pain. Jungkook sat across him, one of his hands place on Jimin's knee and the other, soothing Jimin's cheek. Jungkook had a worried look on his face as he watched Jimin groan in pain.
"J-Jungkook... I'm fine... I c-can go to work... it's just a stomach ache." Jimin said through sharp and pained breaths.
"Like hell you're going! I'm calling in sick today. I'll stay here with you." Jungkook said as he took out his phone.
"N-no you can't! Jungkook, you already missed yesterday's meeting, you can't miss this one too. C-chief wouldn't be t-too happy. Here, if it makes you feel better, I'll s-stay here. I'll keep the phone with me the entire time a-and I will call if my stomach gets worse. Okay?" Jungkook sighed before nodding. Jungkook leaned in and gave Jimin a deep and loving kiss before bidding farewell and leaving for work.
Once Jimin heard the faint click indicating that the front door was now shut, he got up and sneaked into Jungkook's room. Jimin moved towards the bed and croached down until he had a clear view of what was under it.
There wasn't much besides some old cobwebs, a lot of dust, an old lamp, and a fairly large cardboard box. Jimin's eyes and hands met the box and pulled it out. Jimin blew the top and sneezed as the large dust cloud engulfed the air.
Jimin slowly opened it and...
"Nothing?" Jimin said as he scanned the floor of the box. Disappointed, he shut the box and began sliding it back under the bed until he noticed a strange ribbon of some sort poking out from under the inside of the box. Once again, he opened the box fully and examined the ribbon that seemed to be half dug in from the edge of the floor.
Jimin pulled it and the bottom of the box came along with it, revealing a second layer. This second layer had three large, see through sacs containing, you guessed it, blood. Jimin shuddered then dropped the box to the floor, ending with the packs everywhere.
"No way, there's no way this is real." Jimin tried assuring himself. He pinched his arm hard until his own blood was visible. Yup, that hurt. Jimin shook his head repeatedly, crawling away from the packets.
Jimin steadied his breathing the best he could and looked back at the red liquid filled sacs.
"Jeon Jungkook... is a vampire..."
"JUNGKOOOOOK!" The chief exclaimed angrily from his desk with his clenched fists. Jungkook gulped whatever was forming in his throat before shakily making his way towards the office.
"Y-yes chief..." Jungkook asked from the doorway.
"How dare you miss another meeting!!" The chief spoke heavily, spit flying everywhere. His voice was cracked and thick.
"I-I'm sorry sir, something important came up." Jungkook explained, keeping his head down for respect.
"Oh okay." The chief said simply. Jungkook released the breath the he didn't realize he was holding. "TAEHYUUUUNG!" Chief screamed, scaring Jungkook in the process. Taehyung came running in.
"Yes chief?" He said, nervousness painting his face.
"Have you spoken to Jimin? Did he tell you why he isn't here today?" Chief asked, surprisingly, in a sweeter tone which Jungkook didn't seem to enjoy.
"No sir. You can ask Jungkook though." Before the chief could even say anything, Jungkook pulled out his phone and called Jimin. An out of breath and nervous voice spoke through the line.
"H-hello?" Jimin asked, his voice cracking.
"Hi baby boy. How are you feeling?" Jungkook asked, emphasizing 'baby boy' while staring daggers at the chief.
