I sat on my chair silently as the others began to talk.
Emilio, to the opposite side of the table, calmly walked.
He began to introduce me to the rest of the household."Everyone, kindly meet Isabella. I saved her from troops earlier in the forest."
Everyone looked at me with serious faces.
I looked down at my plate, my mind going places.
Suddenly, I heard everyone erupt into a series of laughter.
What's so funny? I had wondered.I looked up to see them all smiling at me.
"Don't worry. Here, we're one big family."
"If we want to win and survive the war, we have to build unity."
I had then found myself eating comfortably.I was able to meet different people.
The group had a doctor, the women helped with chores, and of course, the warriors.
After dinner, I sat down to talk with a few of the girls.
Each of us had our own tragic stories to tell. But then, we decided to let the subject change.
"So, about you and Milio? Didn't he assist you? Do you have anything to say?"
I fell silent as they asked that question.
"No. I believe he's just a gentleman."They looked at each other, some shook their heads.
"He is, but mostlly in the wordy sense."
I was confused. Asking myself what that could've possibly meant.
"He didn't really touch other women ever since his heart was broken.""Except when he would save some, of course. But in a situation that isn't life threatening, we think you're the first."
