George Andrews

"This food is wonderful!" George commented, pretending to enjoy his food while shoving his food beneath his table for one of the ship dogs. "I've never had such good shrimp in my life!"

Alex, who sat beside George, took no notice of his actions and smiled, happy his friend finally seemed to be enjoying himself. "Say, George." Alex began. "I saw you talking to that third class boy. Suppose you fancy him a bit?"

George raised a brow. "Who?" He asked dumbly, pretending he didn't recall who Alex was referring to, but he knew all too well he was talking about Will. "Oh... him. No way do I fancy him! Who do you take me for? Some homosexual rich bloke?"

Alex frowned at that, thinking George thought of that as a bad thing, as Alex was openly gay himself. But, he didn't question it; he knew George didn't mean to sound offending, and knew he loved to think of himself as the most heterosexual of all people.

"Whatever you say," Alex put simply, stuffing another bit of fish into his mouth.

George impatiently stared out the window, noting the time. The sun was about in the same position it had been yesterday, blinding almost, but George was lucky to have his sunglasses prepared once again. He quickly wiped his face before tying on his bandana again, then stood up.

"Well, I'd better be going." George smiled, moving back from Alex before he could say something stupid to force him back. However, much to George's surprise, Alex had something else in store.

"Yeah, me too." He replied, not bothering to ask Georges business. "I have a meeting with the captain, James, at five o' clock. I actually may fancy him a bit." Alex added the last bit in a hushed tone.

George couldn't hide his snicker, but waved goodbye to his friend as they parted ways. "I'll see you back in the cabin at 8, eh?"

Alex simply nodded. "Have fun, Georgie!"

George then whipped around, marching briskly out of the dining hall and quickly breaking into a run once he hit the open air of the deck. He smiled warmly, racing with ease through the scattered couples or families gathered on the deck to look out to sea.

Upon reaching where the wooden planks met open sea, he glanced around, hoping he hadn't kept Will waiting. When he couldn't find the man anywhere, George let out a huff of defeat, plopping down onto one of the benches. He pondered a bit, fidgeting with the pearls around his neck. Maybe Will decided he wanted nothing more to do with a rich man, so he kept to himself?

However, George was snapped from his pitiful thoughts when he noticed the taller male running toward him with outstretched arms and a gleeful look on his face. He swung his large tattered bag down beside George before hopping on the bench beside him.

"Sorry if I kept you waiting!" He said, gasping and out of breath. "Got a little caught up with security. Don't think they really like me, eh?"

George couldn't help but chuckle. "I could put good word in for you if that's the case."

Will grinned, pulling his bag into his lap, shooing a few seagulls away from it. He then opened it up, revealing an equally tattered old book with 'W.L.' engraved in the cover in golden lace.
