And just like that, the words Jisung doesn't want to hear. "Promotion. Abroad".

He kept silent. "Jisung?" his mom looked at him. "Are you alright honey?"

"I-I... um cool mom. Look, I have to sleep. See you tomorrow." he said as he walked to his room. School was still cancelled due to a heavy storm, so class won't start until the storm has fully passed. Jisung's mom watched as her son hurried to his room, knowing that giving him the news would cause him to behave like this. She somehow regretted it.

Jisung crashed on his bed. Staring at the ceiling. His mind went blank. "Mom is going abroad? So I'll be alone." he said to himself. He didn't know what to do. "First, I'm confused as fuck as to who I am, and now this?! Argh!!!" he groaned to himself, covering his face with his pillow.

He was going through something. Confusion. Jisung always had these question in his mind. Questions he can't seem to answer.

'who am i?'

'why am i like this?'

'why am i alone? why am i always alone?'

He's sick of it. All he wants is to get rid of his bad side and live normally.

"Wait wait what!?" Chan said on the phone.

"Yeah you heard it right." Jisung said. He seems to have given enough time to collect himself. He finally had the urge to call Chan. "Mom's going abroad." he continued, letting out a sigh.

"Look Ji, you'll get used to living alone. If you need some company, just call us." Chan said, making Jisung grow a small smile.

"Thanks Chan." Jisung said. "I gotta go, bye." he said as he hung up the phone.

Jisung laid on his bed. Eyes getting heavier, his mind buzzed again. "Mom will leave. I will be alone here." he mumbled to himself again. And soon enough, he fell asleep.

~the next day, Friday

"Mornin'" Jisung walked downstairs, seeing his mom pack up things in her luggage. Seems like her trip is near.

"Jisung! I need to talk to you." his mom said. Jisung sat on the dinner table and his mom soon after. "As you know, mom will go abroad to work. I hope you understand." his mom sounded gloomy. As if she didn't want to go.

"You're a big boy. I'm pretty sure you can hold the house when I'm gone. If you need help, you can always call your friends." she continued. Jisung kept silent, still keeping on eye on his mom.

"How long will you be gone mom?"

His mom started to grow a smile. "T-that's where I will work from now on. I'm sorry, I promise to come home when I have the time. I'm sorry Jisung." she sounded as if she was about to cry.

Jisung noticed this. "Mom, I understand. Don't worry about me." he said, trying to comfort her.

"My flight will be 2 days from now. I-I promise to send goods alright? Haha."

Jisung just chuckled. After a while, Jisung went out to get some fresh air. He decided to go to the grocery store nearby to replenish their pantry. He scouted some fresh pork belly so he can cook later for his mom. He got the ingredients he needed and went to the counter.

He was lining up until he saw someone he knew. He grew a smile, hoping the person won't see. The dude looked at Jisung. He chuckled. "Oh hi Jisung!" the person said as he walked closer to him.
