Chapter 10: The escape

"EMERGENCY. EMERGENCY. VILLAIN ATTACK IN THE CITY. ALL HEROES AND POLICE OFFICERS REPORT TO THE CITY IMMEDIATELY" A loud emergency came from the speakers catching Endeavour and Hawks attention straight away.

Both heroes looked at each other than ran out the room, leaving the villain there alone with a confused look, "Who the fuck just leaves a villain here?! Is there something wrong with you two?!" He questioned but he got no answer from either not even anyone from outside the door either.

Dabi waited a few moments before slowly walking over to the now open door to see no one, not the heroes, not the policemen and not even the detective. They all left the villain behind, the doors left wide open and fast footsteps quickly becoming further and further away.

"They're actually thick in the head...I can't believe this.." Dabi said out loud to himself as he walked out of the warehouse without anyone noticing him, he looked towards the city to see it in chaos, smoke and fire everywhere.

He shrugged and set off in the other direction were the chaos wasn't as bad, the cuffs on his hands were still on him so he couldn't use his quirk as he also stuck out like a sore thumb for obvious reasons.

He was almost out of the city before he was suddenly off his feet and floating, he looked up to see Hawks with a smug look, "You really think you can escape that easily?" Hawks said smirking as he flew back to the warehouse with the villain who had seemed to give up and just went with the flow.

Once Hawks had landed he let go of the villain who turned around to face the hero with a pout on his face, "I just wanted to leave like a responsible villain, is that so hard to do? Let me live my twenties THEN arrest me, simple" Hawks smiled a little and Dabi did the same.

"I guess I'm just gonna live the rest of my life I'm Tartarus, aren't I?" Dabi asked playing about with his cuffed hands, "Well...I guess that's fine...I deserve it..is it just me and you here? Cause I rather not be embarrassed.." Hawks nodded whiling staring at the villain in the eyes.

Hawks did kinda feel bad about everything he's done to the villain, in all honesty when he heard he had to betray Dabi to arrest him he wanted to protest but he knew well he didn't have the authority to do so. He really did enjoy the time he spent with Dabi it's just that he was meant to pretend and get the mans trust...

"You should go-" Before Dabi could finish his cuffs came off, he looked up to see the blonde with one of his feathers out, he had unlocked the cuffs by breaking the cuffs, "What the hell? Why'd you do that?" Dabi asked as he rubbed his wrists.

Hawks didn't look at him, "Burn the cuffs, it'll make it look like you melted the cuffs in one of those fires..Don't tell anyone I did this...aand one more thing, try call me when you enter a different city, okay?" Hawks began to take off, "I'll see you later! Try not to get arrested again, okay?" Dabi nodded looking up at the man, "Good! Gotta go help the city now! Bye!" And just like that the hero flew back into the chaos.

Dabi stared at the cuffs that were on the floor and shot a little blew flame at it, instantly it began to burn, the blue flames melting it until it was nothing but goo. He stared at the feather Hawks left behind him, the feather that he lock picked the cuffs with, he picked it up and looked at it before stuffing it into his ragged coat before walking away from the city without anyone seeing him.

~A few days later~

"How can he just disappear without anyone noticing him?!" Endeavour yelled as he threw his pen at the wall. He was in a meeting with Hawks and the detective, of course Hawks knew where he was but like hell he was gonna tell anyone, "We all ran out of there and left the doors wide open for the dude! We did a stupid thing and now he's gone.." Hawks said to Endeavour which made him glare at the blonde.

"He is right Endeavour, we should've been more careful, we should have got someone to stay with him but it shouldn't be our fault because we were all scrambling to get to the fight and help out civilians, we couldn't help but forget him" Tsukauchi said while staring at the pro hero hpwith an intense look, "We'll find him soon, it's nothing to worry about.."

"Nothing to worry about? He's my son! Dabi is my son! If word got around about that then I'm finished! Everything I've worked for will be for nothing because of that villain I am biologically related too!" Endeavour yelled to both men, "Are you serious?! You care more about your reputation than making sure the citizens of Japan are safe?! How could you?! If this is how you're coming out about only caring about your reputation as a hero then I rather not work with you! Peace bitch!"

Hawks slammed his hands on the table and left, he slammed the door to Endeavours office tight and left, he couldn't believe he had idolised someone like him when he was younger, he left Endeavours agency and flew off from the ground, "How can he say such a thing? Seriously..." Hawks muttered to himself while flying around the city.

He wondered when Dabi would be calling him to say he was alright, he wanted to know quite badly, he began to fly faster lost in his own thoughts, he searched around the streets to see if anything would happen, he saw nothing just people talking to one of each other.

He landed onto a building, he got bored so he just sat there waiting for something to happen so he could help out, he wanted something interesting to happen but nothing seemed to happen.

Suddenly he got a phone call from a unknown number and he answered, "Hello? Who is this?"

"Hawks it's me Dabi..."

"Oh thank god! So what's going on with you??" Hawks asked while grinning, "Nothing much, stole this random persons phone to ring you, How's that bastard Endeavour doing since I left?"

Hawks chuckled, seems like he still hated Endeavour, "I think he's getting even crazier since you've left" Hawks said as he heard Dabi laugh in the other line, "That's good, here..listen I'm at the east side of Tokyo, if you wanna know where exactly I am meet me at Kiba park tonight..."

'Kiba park? Damn...that's a long way' Hawks thought to himself, "Sure! What time?" Hawks asked as he could hear Dabi hum at the other side of the line, "Probably 9pm...no one really comes around at 8pm so yeah..."

"Alright then! It's a date then! Bye!"

"Wait wh-"

Hawks hung up on the villain, he couldn't wait! He got up and started to fly around in happiness, he flew to the ground and began to walk the streets, Joy multiplying his aura by 5.

He was gonna fuck this up so bad, wasn't he?
