Life was going great here at Akina's house, it was like heaven. Although things just weighed on my mind. Like Koketa. How was he doing? What are my parents doing right now? They're not you parents. The voice inside my head was vicious. I bit back those thoughts. As Inaka kept telling me, anger wasn't going to help me at all. Although Vex seemed pro rage. It was kinda funny actually. I took an small bite of my pancake stack and look down at the table.

Vex glances over at me while taking a enormous bite of his pancake stack.

"Hey everything alright over there" Vex says with a chunk of food hanging out his mouth. "Hello? Anyone home?" he says curiously. "Aeoicz!" He shouts.

"Huh?" I say snapping out of my daydream.

"Everything okay Aeoicz?" Vex says worried. Inaka shifts awkwardly in his seat.

"Uh, yeah just daydreaming" I say boldly.

"Yeah yeah, sure," Vex said sarcastically. He's sassy this morning. I finish my pancakes and take my plate to the sink and headed for the bedroom.

"By the way, there's some clothes for you and Vex when you decide to leave on your adventures," said Akina.

"Oh really? Thank you," I say kindly. I walk to the bedroom and throw myself onto the bed. Next to me are some clothes. A pair of jeans, a white button up shirt, and a dark purple silk vest with silver threading across the bottom of the vest. Very fancy. I slipped them on quickly, and was just adjusting the vest when Vex walked in.

"How's it going?" He asked. I shrugged.

"It's been going well, I guess," I responded. I looked at me suspiciously. He looked at me that way for a while, but I didn't really feel that bad. Koketa was the only thing who was really bothered me. And my parents. And the Kingdom. Okay there were a lot of things bothering me. But I wasn't going to let that stop me. I wasn't going to say anything, because instead of complaining about the problems I'm going to solve them. Starting with gear. A foundation.

"All right Vex, we're gonna get started. Get dressed, I have a plan." I walked out of the bedroom to give him some space. I went into the bathroom and grabbed a brush. I looked in the mirror. I felt uplifting today. I quickly brushed through my messy hair and I washed my face. I opened the door and found Vex standing there with a pink button-up t-shirt, which he had casually unbuttoned and underneath was a white shirt. He also wore gray ripped jeans and white shoes. His ears were twitching excitedly. I smiled at him and we walked down the stairs.

"Looking sharp you guys," said Akina. Vex grinned. He liked being complimented on his fashion choices.

"Okay, listen up, I have a plan," I said. Inaka and Akina sat down on the couch and looked up at me. Vex did too.

"Alright, first things first, we need to save Koketa. This won't come easy. We need a foundation, which for starters is gear. Akina do you know anywhere we can get gear?"

"Yeah, a tavern down in town that has more than just beer," she said. I nodded.

"Good. Now we can't just waltz down there because I know I'm wanted, so disguises," I said, waiting for suggestions.

"I have some makeup skills, if I can borrow you makeup, Akina," said Vex, looking over at her questioningly.

"Go ahead," she said.

"Okay that solves that problem, now what's the best path there, and how can we avoid the guards?"

"I know the city like the back of my hand, and the guards positions, I'll draw up a plan," said Inaka.
