Yesterday my stepdad had walked through the door at around 11:30 with zero explanation. A few days ago he had told my mom that if he wanted to go out that he didn't have to tell her where or who he was with.
"It shouldn't matter who I'm with Kristin!" my stepdad yelled at my mom.
"But it does. You have an infant, a wife, and 3 kids. You can't just go out all night. It doesn't work like that!"
He stomped down the hall and into my parents room. The door slammed and my little sisters cry followed. I got up out of my room and went to calm her down.
"Shhhh, it's ok, it's ok," I whispered in her ear. Soon after she looked up at me and gave me a bi smile.
About 20 minutes later my mom came out of her room with red eyes and grabbed my sister to go change her diaper. My stepdad walked out of the room and went down to his car and out the door. He didn't return until 9:30
