"Hey, tell Emily the news," my mom whispered to my stepdad on the way home from school.
"Oh yah! So Emily, I have some good news!"
"Yes," I said in an annoyed tone.
"I'm gonna start acting. I have a role in a movie."
"Oh that's great!" I said, but was really thinking, how stupid could he be. We live in a small town and no one will ever recognize him.
"Well, that also means that a lot is going to change. We are going to have to move."
"WHAT!!"
"Yah isn't that great!"
"Sounds fantastic," I mumbled as I was hoping that I didn't just hear that.
As we kept driving it all sunk in. Why were we going to move for someone who is never home? He has came home at around 12:30 every night, sometimes later. This is never going to work.
