Destiny's Calling

Chapter 6

                           Scar's POV
It happened so fast. All the sudden Logan whirled around caught the arrow growling in pain as the fire burnt him.

I gasped as I saw Freya gracefully jump down from a huge tree with her bow in her hand.

Logan looked confused. "Are you trying to kill me Mom."

"No, I wasn't aiming at anywhere vital. Trust me if I had really been trying to kill you you wouldn't be alive right now."

"Then why the heck would you shoot an arrow ON FIRE at me!"

The former queens eyes hardened a second before tears flew down her face. She looked sad but angry.

"We has a small fight, and he had just turned back into a hybrid," Freya seemed to be recalling details from a memory of the past. "I said something and he got mad. He put his hands around his neck and squeezed and squeezed until there was no more life left in me. There was only one emotion in his eyes."

Freya stopped talking for a second to get her breathe and wipe her face.
"I'll remember his eyes for the rest of my life. They held pure rage, no love at all, nothing just lots and lots of anger. Enough to make him kill his one and only soulmate."

There were tears falling down Logan's face now. Freya's eyes softened. "Now I can see from the way you look at that girl beside you that your in love, but I need you to remember this."

Freya walked up to her son and looked him in the eyes "your father loved me too. He thought he had control, but honey let me tell you something."

She poked Logan's chest. "Once you let that beast inside of you out it controls you. Not the other way around."

Logan grabbed his moms hand "I'm sorry you had to go through that mama, and I'm sorry for the way I acted." I was surprised to see genuine tears on Logan's face.

"It's ok my boy it's ok." Freya hugged her son. I felt a tears trying to escape at the sight of them. I wish I could've had a family to love me as much as Freya clearly loved her son.

Logan turned to me and grabbed my hand. "Again I am very sorry for the events of tonight flower. I shouldn't have put a hand on you like that. When I was a boy I was taught how to treat a lady. I'm sorry that I didn't treat you as I knew I should've.

I felt tears threatening to escape again at Logan's words. "I forgive you Logan; of course I forgive you." I threw my arms around him.

"How about we go home little flower."

I nodded my head. It had been a long day.

I couldn't help myself and I yawned. Logan chuckled "seems my little angel is tired. I'll carry you back to the castle and you can get some rest."

Logan picked me up bridal style and I snuggled against his chest as we made the journey back to the castle.

I felt myself drift off to sleep in the arms of my mate.

When I woke up I was in a comfortable bed that smelled like my mate. I opened my eyes and was startled when I saw Logan sitting in the chair next to the bed and staring at me.

"Good morning sleeping beauty," he gave me a kiss on the cheek and then one on the lips.

I scoffed at that and felt my mouth for drool. "This bed is so amazing. I almost forgot what it felt like to sleep on one."

Logan grabbed my chin making me look at him and pulled me closer. "You will want for nothing here my love. Anything you want or need just ask for it and it shall be yours."

I thought about it. What did I want that he could give me. It was on the edge of my mind. Cmon Scar what have you wanted all these years of torture and imprisonment. What kept you alive in that lab. I knew what I wanted it was obvious.

I grabbed Logan by the shoulders. "What I want more than anything in this world is revenge."

Logan's smile in response was so shilling that even I shivered in fear. "Then revenge you shall have my dear."

Sorry I'm aware that was short. Just wanted to let you guys know since it's summer and I'll have free time I will be updating each of my books once a week.
