Chap 16

Sam's POV

It's been almost two years since Alexis and Blake had been divorced. The kids have warmed up to me and calls me Dad now. "Dean, want a beer?" I asked.

"I'm good," said Dean smiling.

"Uncle Dean," said Abby. "Why don't you come out and have some fun? A little sun won't hurt."

"Still cleaning the arsonal, baby girl," said Dean.

"Okay," said Abby.

I heard the water splash outside. "The kids seem to be having fun in the pool," I said.

"Yeah," said Alexis smiling. "And I'm just glad to have you know." Alexis and I hugged. "It feels good to be back."

"I'm glad to have you back," I said.

"Sam, I have something to tell you," said Alexis. "A year ago today, you asked me a question and I told you I wasn't ready." I smiled. "But I'm ready now." She smiled. "Yes, Sam. I'll marry you." I smiled in relief and put the ring on her. "Of course."

"How'd you get your answer?" I asked.

"I realize that there isn't a perfect guy out there. There never will be. You aren't a perfect guy," said Alexis. "Dean isn't a perfect guy. But Sam, you are the perfect guy for me."

"Sitting right here," said Dean.

"It was meant to be heard," I said.

"It's been almost four years since I've been brought back," said Alexis. "I got a second chance at life and I'm not going to make the same mistakes because I love you Sam Winchester and I can't believe it took me twice to realize that you're the guy for me."

"Alexis, you'll always be my perfect girl," I said. "Always and forever. You may have gotten a second chance but you have given me a second chance at a lifetime with you and a family."
