Panic attacks/Panic disorder
Panic attacks are periods of intense fear or apprehension of sudden onset accompanied by at least four or more bodily or cognitive symptoms (i.e. heart palpitations, dizziness, shortness of breath, or feelings of unreality) and of variable duration from minutes to hours.
Panic attacks typically begin suddenly, without warning. They can strike at almost any time - when you're driving the car, at the mall, sound asleep or in the middle of a business meeting. Panic attacks have many variations.

he gets at least 3 of them per day
