You're Awful, I Love You

Chapter 20

She whispered the last part. I didn't want to lie to her so I told her the truth. "Did you guys use anything?" she asked. Oh, god. I really didn't know. "I think so." I said. "Ok there is only one way to find out." She said grabbing her keys.

"What about the food?" I whinned. Her eyes went wide in shock. "It will be fine, Lily let's go." She said. We got in the car and drove to the drug store. She got me at least ten pregnancy tests.

I was scared. What if I was pregnant? I doubt Adam would still want to be around for that, he has so much going on right now. Would he leave me hanging? "Mom, I'm scared." I told her.

We drove back to the house and she rushed me to the bathroom. "Do you have to pee?" She asked. "Not really." I told her. She ran out of the room. She came back in a few seconds later and thrusted a jug of apple juice in my arms.

"Drink." She demanded. I did until I had to pee. I pulled down my pants and peed on the stick. "Now what?" I asked. "We wait for about two minutes." She said.

(2 minutes later)

"Ok Lily its time to look." My mother said looking up from her watch. I was scared to open my eyes. "Come on Lily, you have to look first just in case you are I want you to know first." She explained.

I opened my eyes. I picked up the stick and my face fell. There was a pink plus sign on it where the results came up "Mom what am I going to do?" I asked as I started to sob. She sat next to me.

"It's ok, we can tell Dad when he gets back later. He won't hurt you. Um we'll get you vitamins. Now we got a reason for that other bedroom. Ohh! It's just the perfect size for a nursery." She babbled.

My mom seemed to like te fact that I was going to have a baby. "Whats Adam going to say?" I asked out loud. My mom rubbed my shoulders. "I'm sure he'll be excited out of the pregnanices that I've worked with the male is more excited than the female is at first. He won't leave you I promise. If he tries I will have to kick his behind for ya." She told me.

I grinned. "No you won't Mom but thanks. But there are also some of those males who just leave the females by themselves and have nothing to do with the Mom or child unless the Mom gets an abortion." I told her.

She frowned. "You and your negative attitude. " She said then she laughed "Thanks for trying to lighten up my mppd but what if he does that?" I asked. "That means child support and stuff like that. He's not stupid, plus he loves you, he wouldn't do anything to hurt you." She let me know.

"Did he tell you that last part?" I asked sarcastically. "Actually he did, about two weeks ago when you were sleeping." She admitted. "He was here when I was sleeping?" I asked.

I didn't know that. "Yeah he came over to see you but you were alseep so he just sat in the living room with me and we talked. He told me about how he purposed to you, I can't believe that you didn't tell me that. I also can't believe that you said yes. Don't get me wrong it's just you guys are so young and now you're having a baby..." She trailed off.

"Mom for an adult you babble a lot." I told her. "So when are you going to tell him?" She asked ignoring what I said. "I guess when he gets home." I told her. "When?" she urged. "Today." I answered laying my head on my knees.

(Adam's point of view)

(Plane Ride)

I was so excited. I had just boarded the plane. Lily was probably at the airport right now. It was an hour flight. I was kind of drowsy so I decided to sleep to waste time.

I guess it had been an hour because a flight attendent was shaking me awake. "Mr Phenix we have arrived." She said. I wonder how she knew my name, I thought to myself. I followed her off the plane and I got my two bags.

I walked to the lobby. "Adam over here!" Lily yelled.
