Tanya

"So are you guys dating or something?" I laughed.

"No, we're not dating nor are we boyfriend and girlfriend."

"Let me rephrase that," oh shit "Have you guys been intimate?"

"Hey you want some more fries Keano?" He shook his head no.

"Tanya! Oh my God. You guys-"

"It was only like twice."

"Do you like him?"

"Not really. I mean he's cool to be around, and he's a sweet guy when he's not being evil. But it's rare when he's not being evil."

"You like him! Aww."

"I do not."

"Then why are you still with him? I have enough money to pay until my lease ends. If you don't like him leave him."

"But, I-Uh."

"That was a test Tanya. You failed, because you like him!" I rolled my eyes. I didn't like him, plus he wasn't the type to get attached or get married. Not to mention what he did to me in the beginning.

"Are you ready to get married?"

"What?" I asked

"Are you ready to get your nails done?" She asked.

"That's not what you said the first time." I flagged down a waitress and gave her some money for our food. She left and came back shortly.

"I'm sorry ma'am but your money has been declined." I frowned.

"How can money be declined? It's not counterfeit if that's what you're saying."

"A man by the name of James Auben said he was going to pay. Your lunch is taken care of." I frowned, Sandra passed me a look and I rolled my eyes again.

"Don't say anything." I told Sandra. We cleaned up our table a bit and then left. I left a one hundred dollar bill for a tip.

James: What did I tell you?

Me: I don't have to listen to your dumb ass rules.

James: Okay, keep playing around. You have something waiting for you when you get home.

Me: Yeah Okay.

I rolled my eyes.

"Is that your husband?" Sandra asked.

"I don't have a husband, or a boyfriend. Or any time of relationship with a male figure." I corrected.

"Bitch you lyin but it's okay." She said flipping her hair. The Chauffeur stopped at the nail salon and I smiled. My nails were looking pitiful, horrible, ugly, any other foul words I could think of.

"What color are you getting?" Sandra asked be as we entered I looked at the color wall and smiled.

"So what's your favorite color?" James asked me.

"I live for a nice yellow, cause it looks good on my skin, or cream because it contradicts with my skin in a great way." I rambled, I realized he was staring at me, I felt my cheeks get warm. "Sorry I was rambling-"

"Don't apologize, you're just showing your true self. Never apologize for being yourself." He said. I smiled and he showed me a smile back.

"What about you?" I asked

"Lavender." I was immediately interested. "It's such a pure color, it has great calming properties, plus it looks great on you." My smile became bigger.

"Thank you James. That's very nice of you to say." I said trying to hide my obviously flattered state.

"You're cute when you're flustered."

"You're okay when you're not being mean."

"Thanks."

"Are you thinking about your husband?" I sent a glare at Lasandra.

"No."

"So why did you choose lavender?"

"Cause it looks good on me." I shrugged.

"So what are you going to be doing this weekend?" I shrugged.

"Let's have a get together. I want to meet your h- I mean. Boss."

"Okay, I'll ask him." I looked at the coffin nails the lady put on my fingers. They were gorgeous.
