Down the rabbit hole

♣-Chapter five: Lost in the woods-♣

Pure darkness, as if black ink dropped into your eyes or someone sliced them open with the sharp edge of an knife, so dark it was.

Until with a creak of an door, light shined back into the room. On the other side of the hall one of the oh, so mesmerizing golden doors had opened. Filled with curiousity and drawn to the light like a moth, Alice walked towards the open door.

Behind it waited another world, it looked like a wide forest, the outside fasade of the door was painted in a sky blue color that started to  peel off over time. Poisonous green ivy found it's way into every crack. The silent room was filled by the distand sound of birds and the calm rustling of the leaves trough the wind. The nice breeze was so refreshing Alice thought, as she stepped out of the room.

The plant and leafe covered ground felt soft under her feet, the smell of earth and herbs layed in the air, it almost felt like home at the rose garden. With every little step she takes, Alice get's deeper into the forest. She walked until she didn't saw the door anymore, she walked until every root, every tree, yeah every stone she passed by appeared to be the same.

                                     in this forest dark and deep

                                        i offer you eternal sleep

                                so walk so walk along the way

                             to reach the place you will decay

After a while of wandering the forest started to clear up and only a few trees were scattered around. Their bark overgrown with ivy and moss. In the distance an outline of an person. Filled with curiousity little Alice heads towards it.

As she comes closer the outline became more and more clear. It turned out to be a little boy, his hair was black as raven and his against the tree leaning body seemed to be covered in a variety of different plants, just as if he was standing there for a long long time.

Standing next to him, he was a little taller then little Alice. She reached out to the mysterious boy, wich opened his eyes with a crack and looked at her with an piercing stare. His huskily voice sounded as if he hasn't spoken in years.

"Help me...please help me" he mumbled "Alice....help me..." 

She hesitated for a second, why does he know my name? she thought to herself and slowly pulled her hand back.

With cracking and rustling his hand free's itself from the tree bark and grabs onto alice's wrist "Alice help mee...where did you hide it? wheree?! " Alice shivered in fear, it took her a few second to find her voice back and let out a shaky scream, that echoed trough the wide forest.
