The First Day of School

Brianna's POV

I woke up at 6:45. It was the first day of 12th grade year. Finally I'm a senior and I can do whatever I want. I texted Jenny telling her to don't forget to bring that book I wanted to read. She texted back, fast. "Girl u know I wouldn't forget." She would I thought. I went to the bathroom to use it. Rakim texted, "GET YO ASS UP NOWWWWW." I texted back, "I AM UP NIGGA." I flush the toilet and washed my hands and brushed my teeth. Lolita texted the group chat, "GM my lovelies." I texted back, "GM Lolita." I went in my room to pick out an outfit for today. Drew texted the group chat saying good morning. I put my phone on silent because I was getting distracted by the dinging. I got dressed and fixed my hair. I picked up my phone and saw the messages in the group chat.
Rakim: Why this girl called me at 5 in the morning?
Lolita: Who?
Rakim: Keisha
Deion: She probably want u back
Rakim: And that's what she called for to I don't like her anymore tho and she was talking about a party for the seniors.
Me: a party?
Rakim: yea a party
Me: u know I ain't not party person and Jenny ain't either.
Rakim: Ik but y'all invited
Deion: u really finna go to this party that ex had invited u to?
Rakim: yea why not?
Deion: this nigga is dumb💀
Rakim: shut up Deion and y'all better bring y'all asses to school.
Deion: nigga, of course we coming to school, it's the first day💀
I laughed and turned my phone off and headed up front to walk to the bus stop.

Rakim's POV

My phone was ringing. It was 5 in the morning. I looked at my phone and Keisha was calling. What she want now?, I thought to myself. I picked up the phone and answered.
Keisha: What u doing?
Me: u called me just to ask me that. I was asleep.
Keisha: oh well I just called u to let u know there's a party for the seniors.
Me: and?
Keisha: and I invited u and u can bring your friends if u want.
Me: where at?
Keisha: at my bestfriend's house, Lyn
Me: ok
Keisha: ....so when we gon get back together?
Me: girl what the hell go back to sleep cause u tripping
Keisha: I'm tripping!? U the one that's tripping for breaking up with me.
Me: GO BACK TO SLEEP
I hanged up in her face and put my phone on do not disturb and went back to sleep.

Brianna's POV

I was sitting alone at breakfast waiting for the others to get here. I was on Instagram until Jenny came and scared me. I jumped so hard and saw Jenny laughing. "Girl what the hell? You scared the hell out of me." I laughed. We hugged each other and told each other we looked cute today.
Jenny: I can't believe Rakim's ex-girlfriend had called him at 5 in the morning.
Me: I wonder what they was talking about.
Jenny: me to
Deion came and sat by Jenny. "What up, y'all?
Me: What's up Deion?
Deion: nothing, just tired
Jenny: I'm tired to
Drew and Lolita came and sat down. I forgot they both ride the same bus.
Lolita: What up y'all?
Drew: Man I didn't feel like coming to school.
Deion: nigga it's the first day💀
Drew: Man shut yo ass up.
Rakim was the last person to show up. Deion looked up at him and said.
Deion: nigga how you gon say everybody better come to school but you the last person to arrive💀
Rakim: shut up nigger faggot
I busted out laughing when he said that. Rakim was my brother from another mother. Hell, we all family to be honest. We all went to the line together to get breakfast. Then I saw Keisha and Lyn. I looked disgusted when I seen her. I didn't like her because she didn't want Rakim to hang out with us anymore. And when I mean us, I meant me, Jenny, and Lolita. Jenny doesn't even like black boys, she likes white boys and Lolita didn't even like boys, she likes girls. I was glad that he broke up with her. I turned around just to see if nobody was sitting at our table. I caught Micheal, Jenny's cousin, staring at me and I looked at him and he looked away. That was weird, I thought to myself.
