Point of view: Brandon
Brandon was worried about Florie. She never acts like this, she's more of the fearless type. He has literally never seen her look pale. Then suddenly the lights when out. At first he thought his invention had failed, but it was actually a power outage.
"One minute," Brandon said to Florie. " I'm going to run upstairs and fix the wires, so the back-up lights will work. Otherwise they should have been on by now."
"Sure, i'll get the flashlight" she says. "Come back quickly"
Brandon guessed that she was scared with whatever she saw. Florie gave him a flashlight and Brandon ran up stairs fiddling with the torches on switch. As he reached upstairs, he heard a scream from downstairs.
