You're Not Alone (TFP)

Chapter 16: Violet

     M.E.C.H. soldiers were stationed around the front of the lab, their weapons in their hands, ready to fire at anyone or anything that comes to intervene with their plans. The vehicles were more closer to the building as a safety measure, in case the first line of defense was broken. They looked around, almost emotionless because of the masks.

     From out of nowhere, a swirling green and blue portal open in front of them. They looked as the Autobots ran out, their hands as weapons. The soldiers fire at them, and the bots fired back. They believe that they were trying to get into the lab. That wasn't the case. The Autobots were only there as a distraction.

     From in the woods, another portal open and a young teenager jump out onto the ground, her head lower. She had a sword in both hands.

    The portal close behind me and I look up. I look to my left to faintly see the bots providing a distraction for me. "Ratchet, I made it." I said as I stood up.

    "I've hacked into the cameras, but I don't see you." I heard Raf said.

    "Are you sure that nobody else is looking with the cameras?" I ask

     "Absolutely." He said.

     I slowly walk forward to the lab. Just because Raf has access to the cameras, doesn't mean that I don't need to be careful. I was curious on how I was going to get in. I continued until I saw the lab. If I was in charge of it, I would paint the exterior a green color, not a white color. It would blend into the environment more and not stand out. I then notice a vent cover a few feet off the ground. My solid flame sword disappear in fire as I put my index finger on the com, but before I could say anything, Raf said, "I think I found one of them."

     "The girls?" I ask, hope starting to rise in me.

      "I think so, but I only see one."

     My heart fell, but came back up a little. At least we can save one of them right now. "Who is it?"

     "Violet." He respond

     A small red flag went up in my mind. Why did they bring only her? Why did they bring her at all? "Well, I think I found a way to get in. I located a vent, so there must be a vent system that can reach to her. Or at least, close to her. Can you pull up a blueprint of it?"

     "Give me a minute." He said.

     I was getting worried. Something was wrong. Almost on cue, my chest flare up in pain. I gasp in pain and I fell on my knee, clutching my chest. It felt like the same thing that happened to me when Bee and Bulk were playing the game. It suddenly stop and I breath deeply. I put my hand over my mouth as I cough. I pull it back and I saw some small spots of purple blood. Now I was terrified. I jumped when Raf spoke. "I found a blueprint."

     I wipe my hand on my jeans as I said, "Nice job. I'll need you to guide me to Violet."

     "Got it." I went to the vent and my fire sword was replaced with the solid flames one. I lift the tip to a screw and start to twist it. After a few seconds, the screw came out. I did this with the others and soon, the vent cover was removed. I jump, flapping my wings as I did so and went in. I was on my hands and knees as I crawl forward. "Head into the second hall on your left." Raf said.

    I pass the first hall and enter the second one. I follow his instructions, and hoping that the soldiers couldn't hear me. Suddenly, I felt like electricity hit me everywhere and I collapse and groan. The problem was... It felt like it came from...

    "Amber, what happen?!" Ratchet yelled to me from the comn.

     "Ratchet," I groaned out as I got back on my hands and knees. "The bots... are they okay?"

     Before he could reply, I heard Arcee said through the comn, "Ratchet, Optimus is down!"

    I froze. That's why I felt the sudden pain. It was coming from Optimus because of the bond.
"Amber..." Optimus said through the bond.

     "Optimus!" I yelled to him. "Please, hang in there!"

     "Amber... you need... to tell the others... to return to base."

    "I can't leave you!"

    "Please..."

    "Has Amber made it?" Arcee ask.

    I was quiet. I didn't know what to do. "Amber," Ratchet was quiet for a moment before he said, "You're in charge now."

     I was silent. "What do we do?" Bulkhead ask from the comn.

     That was the thing, I don't know what to do. Finally I said, "Autobots, return to base."

      "So we're leaving him behind? Miko ask.

    "No." I said. "We're going to rescue him, but we need a new strategy."

     "Someone, please, help me!" A familiar voice call out from below me. I wasn't able to see, but I did see some slits in front of me. I crawl over and look through. I saw Violet on her knees in some sort of storage room. Her hands were tied behind her back and she was crying. I also saw some cuts and bruises all over. Her hair was in a mess. Her face was stained with tears. She receive her wings as well. They were a lime green and there was a little bit of white mix with the green in the webbing.

     I gasp, then I remove the cover. It made a scrapping noise, causing Violet to look up. "Amber?"

    "Hey, sis." I said as I jumped out. I ran over to her and untie the ropes around her wrists. When I untied them, she immediately turn to me and wrap her arms around my neck, crying into my shoulder. I hug her tightly as well. I rock her side to side as I rub her back in a comforting manner. "I'm here." I said. "I'm here."

    I gently pull her back to look at her face. "Where's Saphirra?"

    "They still have her." Violet cried. "They plan to do something to her. Something about her bringing down the... I think giant robots."

      "Hey." I said gently, wiping a few tears off her face with my thumb. "We'll save her. I promise."

     We then heard someone coming towards the room. Violet shook in fear. I lift her up and help her climb into the vent. Once she was in, I jump up and climb into the vent as well. "Go forward, quick." I said.

    She crawl as quick as she could while I follow her. I gave her directions to the exit. We heard the soldiers running below us. They must know that Violet escaped. After a few minutes, she jump out of the vent onto the forest ground. I jump out as well, grab her hand, and we start to run. They must have saw us, because suddenly, bullets start to fly around us. Violet screamed in fright. I put an hand to my comn. "Ratchet, Groundbridge. NOW!"

     A few seconds later, a swirling green and blue portal open in front of us. I tighten my grip on Violet's hand. "Violet, close your eyes!"

    She shut them tight, along with the grip of holding my hand. I heard a missile coming towards us from behind, but it never reach its target as Violet and I entered the Groundbridge and it close. It was only able to hit the ground.
