Chapter 11

I moved my leg over the railing, then the other, till I was fully on the other side. I just had to let go and I would be happy, one move and I can be gone forever, do it Hannah, do what you came here to do!

I let another sob ripple through me, I look a deep breathe and I-

Darkness. Darkness everywhere. My breathing felt short and thin. I could see I faint light in the darkness, it drew me closer till I touched the glowing rim and walked through it.

'Beep beep beep'

Where am I? I drew my heavy eye lids up and I tried to analyse the room. White walls we're all around me, closing in. Was I in a hospital? The door at the end suddenly opened, behind it a man dressed in a white lab coat.

"So Hannah you woke up. I'm afraid that after your attempt suicide you received many injures, although fortunately you were put in a drug induced coma to speed up the healing process and now you should be perfectly fine. My nurse has gone out to call your brother Jaime to pick you up." My doctor told me. I was stunned, for two reasons, 1: I survived and 2: my brother isn't here.

Mike ran into my room and looked at me wide eyed, his face was a tint of red and he looked like he had been crying. He ran to my side and engulfed me in a hug. This is new. I breathed in his cologne, cinnamon and vanilla filled the atmosphere. He smelt so good. That sounds really weird oh my gosh why did I say that? He let go of me and looked at me.

"I'm so sorry Hannah I didn't think you were actually going to do it, Jaime was crying his eyes out the whole time your were gone, he was so utterly broken, I couldn't stand it... The feeling of terrible soul draining guilt that chokes you every now and then. Everyday was insanity thinking and regretting what I had said will you please forgive me?" Mike said, in between stutters. His apology was probably the realist thing from him that I heard Since I met him, this was real, he was actually apologising.To me!

"I'll accept your apology Mike but only because you actually sounding fvcking sincere for once, but I swear if your do that again I will not hesitate to break your bones." I said jokingly.

*End of flashback*

I opened my eyes to see I was in a bunk. Memories of Mike flashed in my brain, he liked me? You see I found it pretty hard to think that someone like him, could like me. I mean he convinced me to kill myself when I was in high school and that didn't go down well.

The bunk's curtain was pulled back to reveal Alan.

"How did you sleep Hannah?" He said in a smooth voice. Rubbing my hand soothingly.

"Okay, but I had a dream of something that happened a long time ago" I answered back.

"Well at least now your awake and I made us breakfast so come quick." Alan said, giving me a kiss on the lips before jogging away to the front of the bus.

I dragged myself out of the bunk, falling on the floor in the process. The smell of eggs filled my nose. My favourite! I pranched to Alan, he was sitting on one of the coaches waiting for me. On the little table next to him was two plates, generously filled with eggs and toast, I love this man so much.

"Thank you so much Alan!" I ran over to him and placed a kiss on his lips and playing with his hair which made him let out a giggle.

"No problem Hannah, but after, get dressed because I'm taking you out to see a movie!" Alan said with excitement. This day just keeps getting better and better.
