The start of a new chapter, and the end of an old.
I have sad news regarding my irl relationship that inspired the first oneshot so please read the footnote, but there is happy news regarding my love life too.

Josh knew every year since, the choice he had made in May 2016  got to him. He knew it was for the best - he knew it was for the right reasons. While he still looked over his shoulder, he knew it was for the best of everyone for what he was about to do.

He had  loved Matt, but it was for the best, because things turned quite nasty. The fights got worse and it was becoming clear their relationship was going to tear the band apart.

Josh needed to make a choice to preserve the band - so in quiet silence on a night, he texted Matt how much he cared, but he'd prefer they go back to being friends rather than a couple. And for that, he knew what he was doing was right.

The next tour, things had seemed as if they never changed. But Josh didn't say a word about the Christmas party for 604, why he'd snuck off....

He felt loved and whole again, watching the Christmas lights glimmer as he stared into familiar blue eyes and he just laughed. He felt whole again with her - he felt healthy and whole like they used to be.

He had fallen in love with Amanda all over again - the last few months were their saving grace, and he could feel the love in her eyes. They had planned on fixing their mistakes.

But two can play in this game - whole they may be lovers, Josh will always remember last year waiting to take all the Christmas decorations down until late January, and basking in the lights. It was the last truthfully happy moment him and his ex, now again best friend had.

He smiled at Amanda, and he knew for the best that this was the happiest moment. He couldn't wait for their second chance together - because they deserved it.

I am so sorry this is short, but I wish I didn't have to make the first announcement I have to...

In June 2019, I broke up with my girlfriend at the time. Our turmoil, rather mine internally because of her, inspired Surrender. So thusly, it was right to make a new sequel, but I had fussed and fussed over it for months...

Until November 29, 2019, when I found out someone I had known for a while on twitter, was completely in love with me and I was smitten. I knew for months I was in love with her - (not during my relationship with S, the feelings came about in July), and I am happy to say I am dating another wonderful girl who shares my passion for writing ❤️

Lover was inspired by all of these new flusters and feelings, and I hope you all understand this had to happen.
