Jimin stared in the mirror as ge nervously combed his hair back. He was getting ready to go have lunch with Yoongi.
Is this a date? He thought. He and Yoongi had hung out alone multiple times, but he can't help but let his feelings get the best of him.
His thoughts were quickly interupted by the sound of his phone buzzing with a notification popping up on his screen.
Yoongs<3:
Im outside your door chim come out when ur ready
Jimin blushed at the contact name he set for his hyung. He quickly rushed to the door to let in his friend, not wanting him to wait outside.
"Oh hey chim, you ready?" The older said with his gummy smile peeking through.
"Yeah, almost. Let me just put on my shoes and grab my stuff."
Yoongi nodded as he made his way to sit on Jimin's bed.
He quite liked his friend's dorm. It wasn't one of those big dorms that looked like small apartments like most of their other friends had like Jin or Jungkook, Jimin wanted a small place for himself. It was a rather regular sized room, or like a studio apartment, with a small kitchen and a small living area all connected to each other. Yoongi thought it felt warm and cozy, just like the person who lives in it. He smiled at the thought.
"Hey I'm just gonna go to the bathroom real quick." Jimin said.
Yoongi looked around the dorm as he stayed sat on Jimin's bed. His eyes landed on a piece of crumbled up paper laying on the night stand. He wasn't gonna pick it up and look at it, wanting to respect his friend's privacy. That is until he saw what the title on that piece of paper was.
He slowly got closer to it, recognizing the handwriting and the small scribbles scattered on the paper. Yoongi picked it up as his eyes slowly widened in panic.
How did Jimin get a hold of this? I thought i threw it away. Why does he have MY song?
His eyes shot up as he saw Jimin come out of the bathroom.
Jimin looked at his hyung with confusion, then he saw the piece of paper he had in his hand.
"Oh, you saw that. It's not mine, I wish it was though, it's a very beautiful song."
Yoongi blushed at the indirect compliment. What's wrong with you Yoongi, get a grip of yourself.
"Um, where did you get this?"
"Um, remember that night I took a walk around campus and stuff. Yeah I found this paper on the ground and read what was on it, and when i realized that it was a song i decided to keep it with me 'cause I liked it. And, well, I don't know. My gut just told me to keep it."
The older swallowed at the other's words. Should he tell him it's his song? He didn't exactly know how to react to this situation. He was still in small shock.
"So, you ready to go?"
Yoongi shook off his thoughts. "U-um, yeah. Let's go."
.
The two entered the restaurant, immediately met with the smell of burgers and fries. The restaurant was more of a family friendly one, like a diner.
Jimin was able to spot an empty table and quickly rushed to it as he found that the place was crowded, and there was no one there to escort them. Soon enough, the two males got their menus and started scanning.
"Hmph, I don't know what to get. What do you suggest hyung?"
"Uh, well. I think you should try their burger, it's amazing. Plus I know how you've been craving a good burger for a while now."
Jimin loves when people pay attention to small details, or at least when Yoongi does it.
"Hi, I'm your waiter for today. Are you guys ready to order?" A bright eyed girl came to their table. She seemed very perky and had a wide smile.
Jimin gave her his order as she nodded, writing everything down. She turned towards Yoongi to take his order. "And what would this handsome man like to order." she complimented as she winked at the older. Jimin glared as he felt a sense of jealousy take over him. Yoongi noticed it and couldn't help but smirk.
"I'll have what he's having, but without any onions. And a large coke please."
"Sure thing, sir. I'll be right back with your orders."
Jimin scoffed as he turned his face to the window. "What's wrong?" Yoongi asked, somewhat amused. The younger just shook his head, not wanting to meet the other's eyes.
Yoongi has always noticed Jimin's jealousy when it comes to him, but now he is starting to get worried about his friend. He's never acted this way. Is he hiding something from me?
"Hey," Yoongi placed his hand on the one Jimin was resting on the table, obviously making the younger blush. He loved seeing his little Chim chim like that. "Are you okay chim?" Jimin tried his best to hide his blushing mess, but failed. He faced his friend with sparkling eyes, almost about to cry.
No Jimin, not in front of Yoongi. He'll figure it out and know how you feel. I can't risk that. The younger scolded to himself.
He quickly sniffed back his forming tears, and gave a big smile to his hyung. "I'm fine hyung, thanks for asking, but i really am." Yoongi just nodded, not believing his friend. He figured he could talk to him about it after lunch. He was really curious as to what was making his favorite person feel bad.
Little did he know, it was him who was making him feel that way. When Jimin saw Yoongi return a smile to the waitress, he couldn't help but think of the worst case scenario.
What if Yoongi isn't into me? What if one day he finds someone to love that isn't me, and he lives a long happy life with them and forgets about me. What if he decides he isn't into guys anymore. What if I'm not good enough for him. What if one day, Yoongi falls in love, and it isn't with me.
These thoughts were common with the younger boy. He always thought of the worst when it came to this topic. He just hates the thought of the one he most loves, loving someone else.
Poor, delusional Jimin.
