"Shit!" he comes running to save your head from hitting the wall as you were dozing off.

Your eyes slowly open to see Taehyung smiling at you, "hey there sleepyhead," he greets you as he brushes his hands through your hair.

Taehyung, your childhood best friend has always been there for you, be it saving your head from hitting the wall or listening to your constant rants.

He often came home, infact he practically lived in your house by the amount of times he visited you. But that's what best friends do right?

Today was one of those days where he was busy with some work, so it took him longer than usual to come home.

"Says the one who sleeps like a bear." You retorted, rolling your eyes at him.

He simply laughs at your remark and pulls your cheek to annoy you further.
"You got something to eat? I'm hungryyy~" He whines like a kid.

"No, I thought you would get something while coming."
"Oh sorry I was really busy today. Okay then let's go the store, shall we?"

You were craving some ramen and he loved it too so you decided to get that for the both of you.

"Y/n, I'll be back in a minute, just hold my phone for me."
As you were searching for some more snacks, Taehyung's phone goes off as a notification pops up.

Jagiya : Babe, where are you?

You couldn't believe your eyes. Taehyung had a girlfriend? Why didn't he tell you? Best friends share stuff with each other right?

"Hey, I just went through the clothes section and I found this cute top! You like it?"
Taehyung's voice brings you back to reality.

"Uh..yeah. It's really cute." You say with a faint smile on your face.

"Great! I'm buying this one." He chirps excitedly.
"You could just ask her instead." You say.
"Ask whom?"
"Your girlfriend."

"My what- what do you mean?"
Taehyung has a really confused face on for someone who's been hiding things from you.
You feel a little hurt. Only a little. You try to convince yourself.

You hand him his phone back, "You tell me what this means then."

He checks the message and suddenly bursts out laughing.

You feel anger rising inside you at his audacity to laugh at the situation.
How dare he?!

"What's so funny Taehyung?!" You're practically screaming at this point, you can see a few people staring at you but you didn't really care.

He finally stops laughing, "Y/n, okay wait, I'll just call her."

Okay why was he calling her now? You needed some explanation first.
He gives the phone in your hand, you're hesitant at first but take it anyway.

"Taehyungie when are you coming home? We've been waiting for you! I texted-"

"Jimin, is that you?"

You felt like you were going to faint with all this confusion going around.

"Oh..Y/n? Is everything okay? Taehyung didn't text back? Is he okay? I don't-"
"Jimin, calm down. He's fine. We're coming home."
You hang up. You're so embarrassed to even look Taehyung in the eye after the call.

"So, you spoke to her?" Taehyung teased.
"Shut up!"
"Awww did Y/n get jealous?~"
"Just shut up, Tae!"

"Oh come on Y/n admit it. Also why would I have a girlfriend when you're the one I lo-"

He stopped mid sentence when he realised what he was just about to admit.
You immediately turn towards him with a shocked face.

"Wait. Complete that sentence first."
"I..I love you, you idiot. I always have. You weren't going to say it so I had to do it first."
He says with a wide smile on his face.

"How did you know?"

"Cuz I'm your best friend. You don't always have to say something. I know you too well."
He says proudly.

You smile like a maniac and embrace him in a tight hug.
"That's why I love you."
