Waking up is always a struggle especially when you've got two personal heaters in bed, one being a four legged furry friend and the other being a snoring idiot with drool spilling on his pillow.
"C'mon get up guys you've got a school trip today." Theo said walking up to the bed a ripping the covers off.
"Nert guring" Jackson mumbled before grabbing the pillow from under my head, making my head slam onto the mattress, and resting it on his legs to keep warm.
Theo rolled his eyes, "actually your both going as Matty has been called into work. So get your lazy butts up and get ready." Theo exclaimed before shoving Jackson out of bed with his foot.
I grabbed the pillow that Jackson stole from me and rested it back under my head, getting comfy again. It didn't last long as Theo grabbed the pillow making my head slam against the mattress, again, then all of a sudden the pillow was suddenly hitting me, repeatedly.
"Okaaaaayy.... I'm getting up.." I say as I look out side only to see its still dark.
"What the fuck is the time?" I nearly shout as I grab my phone and check, "5:30am are you insane?" This time I actually shout and shove my phone in his face.
"Okay in my defence it's creepy being up alone in this house, since it creeks all the time." Theo said with his arms up in mock surrender. I just roll my eyes and throw the second pillow on the bed at him.
We hear a groan coming from the other side of the bed and we lean over only to see Peanut giving Jackson good morning kisses. Theo and I laugh at this and we then start getting ready.
I hop out of the car and sling my grey bag over my shoulder while waiting for Peanut to jump out of the car. Moving to the trunk of the car I get out my dark blue duffle bag and pass Jackson his dark green one.
I look over my shoulder at all the people crowded around by their parents and feel a pang of jealousy, as my parents don't even know I'm going away.
It all goes away as soon as I lay my eyes on her, Emily Bensinger. As soon as I look at her, her eyes meet mine and we both blush. I suddenly feel someone shove my back and look up to see Jackson.
"I'd tell you to run up and kiss her if one, it wouldn't be mentally scaring on me and two, Theo is leaving." He say before turning around and running over to Grizz, Luke, Jason and the other football players.
I turn to face Theo and give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, "see ya in a week. Also I want chicken parmigiana for dinner when we get back so do some shopping" I say with a smile to which he replied with simply, "bring me back a leaf or something" and hugged me one last time, before I ran over to Emily who's mom just made her wear a sweater.
Once I reach her, with Peanut trailing behind me, I give her a quick peck on the cheek as a hello.
"Exited for a bunch of camping and mountain climbing?" I ask with a huge grin on my face as she blushes from the kiss.
"As much as you enjoy camping, Minie, some of us don't. Like me for example. I just don't see the joy in sitting around a campfire, talking about what they saw on the hike earlier that day." She complains, and pets peanuts head.
"But I overly enjoy sitting around a campfire, talking about what I saw on the hike I went on earlier that day. Because I don't just like camping because it's inspiring and I get to see different animals." I reply sarcastically, watching as she rolls her eyes at me but smiles and pecks my lips quickly and teasingly before skipping away.
"Oi! That kiss wasn't long enough for me to enjoy it" I yell, running after her only for her to start running too, making it harder for me to catch up.
I hear a shout that sounds like a twin of mine complaining, "I thought I said watching you kiss your girlfriend is mentally scaring!?"
I just rolled my eyes and flipped him of before shouting, "Your face is mentally scaring" and stuck my tongue out at him."Real mature Minie, real mature" I hear Emily say from in front of me and turn and give her a sheepish smile.
"I know I am that's why I don't have a dog or anything" I say stepping aside to let Peanut into her line of vision.
"I never said you weren't responsible" she explained, blowing a kiss before turning around and walking to a group of her friends.
'Your whipped' I see Sam sign to me as I turn around. Becca nods in agreement and I just roll my eyes and poke my tongue out.
I see people start to enter to bus and jerk my head in that direction, to signal to go towards there and so we can board. We start heading towards that direction, when Jackson calls me over. So I said bye to Sam and Becca and headed towards Jackson and the bus him and the jocks were going on.
"You're sitting next to me" Jackson says as I start walking next to him. I look at him and gasp, "I thought I was sitting next to my bestie" I say, putting my hand on by heart in mock hurt.
He just laughed shaking his head, "and who is your bestie?" He asks raising an eyebrow at me.
I look at him acting confused, "it's Grizz" I say as though it's obvious and grab Grizz' wrist and pulling him towards me. "We're best friends yea?" I ask Grizz, winking at him as a hint to play along. "Oh, yeah. Jazzy and I we are the best of friends... I was even her wing man in getting Emily" Grizz said, which wasn't a lie as he did help me get with Emily... though he's a horrible wing man for lesbian as I found out that he himself is gay.
"See besties" I say nodding and dragging Grizz onto the bus, letting him sit next to the window as Peanut needed to sit in the aisle. "Sorry for pulling you onto the bus. I hope you didn't plan on sitting next to someone else, I'll be offended." I said jokingly and he just smiled and shook his head, "nah, was just planning on reading" he says, holding up a book, 'The Art of War' by Sun Tzu.
I raised an eyebrow at him as I read the title, "your reading a book about learning that killing fellow human can be raised to an art?" I ask because I already read it from the West Ham library.
"Yeah, it's just a book. Besides I'm following in your footsteps and reading all the books in the town library" he said smirking as he sees my flushed cheeks. "I thought we agreed never to bring that idiotic idea up around other, cooler, people" I hissed quietly as him looking around to see if anyone heard.
"Calm down, nobody is going to care or know. After all people like you too much to hate you" he said smiling down at me and petting my head like a child. I just huffed out a breath of air and slapped his hand off my head.
Once everyone had sat down, the doors closed and the bus started moving. Grizz and I were talking about old camping trips while Peanut was sleeping. A while later it started getting dark so I decided to close my eyes and go to sleep.
