The Truth

The first thing that Jennie saw right after she opened her eyes was her parents looking down on her with a grave expression.

“Oh dear, you finally awake. How are you feeling Jennie?” Mrs Kim took Jennie's hand in hers.

While Mr Kim called the doctor.

The pregnant woman roamed her eyes over the white room, only to realise she was in the hospital.

“A little bit dizzy, what happened?” She cupped her head, at the same time, her other hand palmed her bump.

“One of your workmates found you unconscious in the office, Jennie please don't push yourself with work, it bad for the baby.”

Said Jennie's mother with a stern voice as she caresses the baby bump.

Later, a female doctor barged inside the room, immediately Jennie glued her eyes on the very familiar blue one.

The doctor immediately averted her eyes away, rather in nervous.

“Hello Miss Kim, do you feel pain on any particular spot of your stomach?” Asked the doctor holding up the clipboard and a pen.

Jennie poked her fingers on every inch of her bump, then shook her head.

“No, just a headache.” She replied shortly, eyed the doctor with suspicious eyes.

She knew she saw that piercing blue eyes before.

The doctor nodded as she wrote down something on the clipboard “Your blood pressure is very high, it dangerous for the baby.

“Please don't always pressure yourself, I'm afraid it not only going to affect the baby, but the mother too.”

She said concerns, Jennie didn't utter a word, just nodded agreed with the doctor as she fondled her bump.

Once again, Jennie's parents almost had a heart attack after she informed them that the child is not her but Lisa's.

For a solid proof, Jennie asked them to take her to doctor Anson's office room, luckily Jennie was sent to the same hospital as doctor Anson.

The hospital was the best one in Auckland, since they mostly owned the expect doctors, especially in the pregnancy unit.

Jennie asked doctor Anson to print out the result, there was hope sparked in her heart as she diligently read every single page.

Now she had a solid proof that she wasn't cheating on Lisa.

Jennie did not relate genetically with the baby except as its carrier.

Warmth embraced her heart knowing the fact that she was carrying her lover's baby.

Even though the baby wasn't blood with Jennie, she already thought of the unborn child as her own.

It felt like the child was Lisa's and hers.

Jennie had made up her mind to post the DNA result to the Manoban's address since Lisa blocked her in every social media.

She wanted Lisa to know the truth.

However, there was one big question that kept bothering her fuzzy mind.

How in the world the fertilize child got inside of her without her consent?

Jennie was discharged from the hospital and drove straight to her apartment.

Since Lisa left Jennie, the Kim flew all the way from South Korea to give comfort to their daughter.
