He didn't come to class the next day. He wasn't feeling any worse, nor did he have a fever. He just knew he couldn't face her; not after yesterday.

He did feel horrible, though. His whole life was to be devoted to teaching, but he failed, already. After three months. He sat at his kitchen table, cereal spoon in hand, pushing the flakes down into the milk and watching them rise back up again. He was thinking about her, again, about what he would tell her if she inquired him about the fever. "No fever, [Y/n]. It was just you. You were getting me all hot and sweaty."

He cringed at his thoughts, considering quitting his job or simply disappearing without a trace. But then, a new idea flew into his head.

The next two hours of his evening he spent trying to figure out how dating apps work. His plan was to find someone, anyone that would distract him from [Y/n]. Literally, anyone will do. As he was looking for matches, he was slightly disappointed. He knew he wanted you, or someone with a similar look, but he also knew that no one could be as good as her. And anyway, the whole point of this plan was to distract him. He needed someone else. In the end, he had liked only about four girls, and matched with two. One of them texted him first. She looked cool, wearing a dark blue cardigan, her smooth blonde hair reaching slightly past her shoulders. He sighed and opened the chat. Her name was Alara.

Alara: Yo boi! Whatsup?

Him: Nothing much, haha. Im really tired :/ What about you?

The conversation continued for quite a bit but he was bored. He didn't like this. She was bland, without the spice that, well, he was sure [Y/n] had.

Alara: Hey, do u kno thr cafe on inch st? Wanna meet there haha

Him: that sounds cool. Tmr at 8?

Alara: sure bro c u there

Maybe she's just boring over text. Maybe she's super fun in real life. He sighed and got ready for bed.

He couldn't fall asleep. Something was bothering him, and he knew exactly what it was. He knew that there was something about [Y/n] that warmed him up on the inside. He knew that there was something about this gorgeous girl that pulled him in. He knew that he wanted her, so bad, but he couldn't, because it just wasn't right.

He imagined her hair in a tight ponytail on her head, her fringe falling over her face as she was taking notes. He could picture her beautiful eyes glistening with amazement at what he was teaching, watching him talking. He could see her eyes, her nose, her luscious lips... It was doing things to him and he felt a sense of dread in his stomach. He was growing hard because of [Y/n].

He knew this would keep him awake even longer. He knew that this was so, so wrong, and this was not what he had imagined when he wanted to pursue his career in teaching. But all of this forbiddance was only arousing him more. It was only making things worse. He turned to lay flat on his back and put a hand on his lower abdomen. His cold fingers sent a slight shiver through him and all he could do was inch his hand lower. As he was nearing the waistband of his underwear, a buzz sounded on the bedside table. He checked it. It was Alara.

He couldn't talk to someone he was potentially dating while he had a boner because of a student in his class. Thinking this over in his head, he frowned at how this was so messed up. It was not right. He fell asleep thinking about how he can fix this whole situation before it went in too deep.
