Jason ran out of the house with Tommy, the door banging against the wall.

"Shit, I don't believe this" Tommy cursed, looking at the vehicles, they were ruined!

Jason checked his van, the tyres were all slashed. Checking under the steering column he found the wires torn out, the van was going nowhere. Finding Tommy, it was clear the same was true of his car. Then he saw something further down the track, just visible in the moonlight.

"Tom, is that a car over there?" He asked, not wanting to investigate alone.

"Let's check it out, we can use it if possible."

They approached cautiously, the trees obscuring most of the vehicle. Jason gulped nervously, recognising the vehicle as Hannah's stepdad.

"Tommy, what's Hannah's stepdad doing here, surely he went home from the motel."

Tommy checked the vehicle in silence, the doors unlocked for them already.

"Sabotaged, similar to the other vehicles... I think whoever did this is planning to kill us" Tommy postulated, getting out and slamming the door.

"Fuck, we should keep together then. We can't be picked off in a group right?" Jason asked, hoping he was making sense.

"A good strategy, for now, we can leave in the morning. It's too dark to leave tonight" his friend decided, walking back to the house at a jog.

Jason followed behind, keeping as close as possible to Tommy. They entered back into the house, everyone gathered in the living room and huddled by the couches.

"What do we do?" Becky asked them, her voice bordering on hysteria.

"We stick together, ride out the night and leave in the morning," Tommy told them, taking charge of the situation.

"That's a good idea, we just have to stay vigilant right?" Hannah said, nervously smiling.

Jason noticed Trish simply rocking back and forth, the poor girl broken by Fran's murder.

"We think your stepdad's here Han, we found his car a short way up the track" he added, suddenly remembering.

"Did he kill Fran?" Rob asked, jumping up with his fists balled.

"It seems strange that he's here, but we can't be sure... not yet" Tommy ventured, trying to calm things down.

"As long as we're together, everything will be fine," Jason said reassuringly, standing beside Becky and holding her close.

Just then the lights died.
