Hannah's PTV
I felt like a fish out of the water, gaping my mouth open at what Jacob just told me. He said he loves me. In my head I was screaming with glee like a little girl who just got a new doll. On the outside I was speechless and Jacob was looking at me with confusion and worry in his eyes.
"I don't know what to say to that Jacob." I decided on saying because he looked like he was going to have a panic attack worrying about what my response was going to be.
"You don't have to say anything just the fact that you know is enough."
That one sentence made my heart melt out of my chest onto the pavement. Speaking of the pavement we should get going before my dad wakes up and kicks my ass for attempting very weakly to run away.
"Jacob," I said with what I hope was urgency in my voice. "We need to get on the road before my dad realizes what we have done."
"OH SHIT, we also need to go stop by my place to grab my clothes." Jacob said and ever so stupidly the next sentence that came out of my mouth was
"Do we have to?" I know that is the worst sentence to say, why you may ask, because of what Jacob said next.
"Yes we have to, I know that you like it when I don't have any on but other drivers might not like it as much as you do." Jacob said with a smirk that could rival the cheshire cats.
I was so embarrassed as I could feel all of the heat rushing to my face. While I stood by with my face buried in my hands I could hear Jacob laughing his ass off. So I decided to get back at him later, when we weren't in a rush to get out of town and plus then I could better prepare to get back at him.
"Fine we will stop by your house to grab clothes for you, but then we are getting our asses out of this god forsaken town. Kapesh."
"Kapesh." Jacob said still holding onto that dopey smile of his.
We both got into the car and after a while I managed to convince Jacob that I could drive the piece of junk that we were being forced to drive. When we got to Jacob's house he told me about how his parents were still in Montana with his older brother.
"I know that we could live with them in Montana until we are eighteen, that way we could still finish high school and get into a good college." Jacob said.
"I don't know, I don't want to be a burden on your family besides what would happen if they decided to turn me in." I said while I was getting on the highway.
"They wouldn't do that I know my parents, if anything they would take you in like you were a part of the family. They would never turn you in or allow you to go back to that twisted man that calls himself a father. Even if they tried to they would have to deal with me." Jacob said with a finality in his voice that made me want to believe him, but I was still unsure.
"When we get across the state line into Nevada we will stop at a hotel and stay the night then we will drive up to Utah and further discuss the destination issue." I said seeing how it was going to be roughly 2 hours until we got to Carson City from here in Sacramento. Then another 7 hours until we reached Salt Lake City where we were going to swap out the trucks.
"Ok. But just so you know I would never let anything bad happen to you." Jacob said as he opened the door to his place to grab his clothes.
While he was grabbing his things, I let the finality of what was happening sink in. Me and Jacob stole my dad's car and we are going to run away with the destination still an argument.
"Hey," Jacob said running out of the house with what I could only assume was a bag of his stuff. "Are you ready to ditch this town?"
"As ready as i'll ever be."
Oh don't mind me I'm just grinning like a dofus. Sorry that I have been a little rocky on updating, I have work so it's hard to find time to write.
