I looked into the mirror, only seeing bags under dull eyes that belong to me, a sigh heard in the lonesome room I sleep in. All the colors that once covered the granite walls have slowly faded away, leaving trails of what have once been a joyful room. My eyes trailed around to every corner that it's pastel color have sinked into the walls, a smile slowly creeping onto my lips as I wiped a tear that fell from the corner of my eyes. Yawning, I headed to sit down on my bed, staring out the window that let me see the courtyard, all my people working their butts off. What caught my attention was a man heading towards the gates, a brow lifted on my face.
Being the only royal in this country at the moment was hard for me, especially being kept hidden from the people of my kingdom. I am only twenty-one, along having this pressure on keeping this place in check, has given me a lot of time alone.
No fun.
No joy.
And no love by heart...yeah kinda sucks.
I've attempted to create acquaintances aside from inside the castle, however, my maids won't allow it. And seeing a man try to enter the castle was quite interesting to watch. I sprinted towards my closet, finding something that can change the rather comfortable attire I was wearing, replacing it with something rather worthy for our guest.
Knock Knock
"Princess? A sire has requested your presence in the throne room." Said a friend I've made in this lonely childhood I've grown up for, May. I turned my head to face her, a blush creeping onto her face as she saw me change. She immediately turned away, clearing her throat.
"S-Sorry Princess...I-I didn't mean to walk in as you change! I-I should leave!" She began, the door flying shut as I yelled out,
"May, wait!"
As I said that, the door slowly began to open up again, a blushing May coming inside while shutting the door again.
"Y-Yes, Princess?" She stuttered, a finger stroking the bedsheets covering my mattress.
I looked at her, asking her if what I was wearing was suitable for the man. It was a light blue dress, matching my moonlight blue hair, the dress hugging my waist like a tight hug from a family member, reaching down to my thighs, along with silver flats that had a slight heel to them.
She eyed me up and down, her cheeks turning pink at every shade. I attempted to stifle a giggle, a pout appearing on her face once she cleared her throat.

"In my opinion, Princess. The dress fits rather beautifully on you." She said, a wink leading my way as well as I laughed, her laughs filling the room as well.

Once we stopped laughing, I realized that my back was against the wall, May in front of me with a strand of my hair twisted around her finger. I gulped, my heart rate pumping by a hundred miles per second as she leaned in, her lips softly grazing mine. At last, her pink lips were placed around mine, her hands in my hair while her thumb caressing my cheek. I on the other hand, wrapped my arms along her waist, enjoying this sweet kiss. While we pulled away, soft pants escaped my lips with her forehead on mine.

"I-I'm sorry, Princess...It's just. If you were to find a lover soon...i couldn't bear to be something other than just a friend to you..." May mumbled while she backed away.
I ached for her to come back near me, yet I couldn't force her to stay with me forever. She's my trusted friend, and I've had a small crush on her since my parents...
I couldn't let her go. I just couldn't, she's the only person who understands the pain I feel. I only nodded, a sad smile grazing the lips that missed hers on them.

"Of course, May. I cannot be a Princess if I force my trusted friend to stay with her. However, please promise me that you will continue serving for me...not only as a maid...but as family...please." I whispered, hearing my own voice crack like the mirrors surrounding my room.
I felt a hand grab mine, squeezing it gently. I wiped my eyes, hoping not to cry as I nodded, letting my hand fall to my side.

"Well...I think we left our visitor waiting for too long." I chuckled, hearing May snort once we left the room, our footsteps echoing the silent hallways that were once so wild to get through.

After a few minutes of strolling to the throne room, two maids were there, guarding the entrance. I nodded, them agreeing to open the door. Once inside, May had left my side and went back to her duties to support the castle to be kept in order. I sighed, turning around to face the man who wanted my presence. Once I did, I couldn't help but stare.

I coughed, catching the mans attention as a smirk carved his face, sweat forming into my palms. Is this an effect for talking to someone other than in the castle? If it is, I don't like it one bit.
"You must be the princess. Am I right?" He said, a nod being sent to him.

All I could damn do was nod and no words! What's wrong with me?!
He smiled, catching my nervousness. I only sat down, legs crossed, clearing my throat. I had to be presentable, I couldn't just let one man bring me down like this, what's wrong with me?
"Yes, I am the princess. What is it that you've come?"
"Cut the prestigious crap will ya? I know what you've done here." He yelled, a brow raising on my face.
What is this lunatic talking about? I haven't done anything! And to think he wanted to come and have a small tea party or some shit. I checked the cameras, seeing that the maids have left from their position to guarding the doors. I smiled, my eyes glittering as in a flash, I tackled the man with me straddling him, katana up to his neck. I saw him struggle, his eyes crossing only to stare at the katana. I leaned in closer, pulling his ear.
"What the hell, are you talking about? I haven't done anything to anyone in MY kingdom. So if you're here to question MY doings for MY kingdom?! I suggest you leave. NOW!" I screamed, yet he didn't budge.
I wondered if his ears still worked, so I pulled on them harder. He yelped, trying to push me off.
"L-Look Princess. I didn't mean to catch you off in a bad way. I was only joking. So if you may," I felt hands hold my waist, a groan coming out from his mouth, "Could you please get off of my chest? You're rather heavy."
I scoffed, hitting his chest as I put the katana back in my glove, it disappearing into its realm. I held my hand out to help him up, his hand fitting in mine like a bracelet on your birthday. I blushed, and once he got to his feet, I immediately let his hand go.
"Alright. So then, why are you here?" I asked, his hand scratching the back of his head.
"Well. I wanted to ask if you needed some extra protection. The kingdom I once protected has let me go due to its unsuccessfulness to pay me, and so this kingdom was my last hope." He said rather mournfully, which made me feel kinda bad for him. I went up to him, yet he was really tall so I suffered. I patted his shoulder, smiling at him.
"Well, you made a rather enjoyable cause so...I suppose I have a spot for you to fill." I thought about it, a cheerful grin on his face as he hugged my waist, picking me up, spinning me around the throne room as he cheered out. Once he put me down, he cupped my cheeks and softly kissed me.
"Thank you!" He gleefully said, I on the other hand, flustered from head to toe. I giggled at his kid like actions, yet had to end the moment.
"Since you are now apart of this kingdom, I am going to need your name."

"Ah right. My name is Dean Candra. Glad to be here, Princess...?" He waited for a response, which I only shook my head.
"Just. Princess. I don't have a name." I softly said, nodding over to the doors. He only tilted his head, bewildered by the response I gave him.
(A princess with no name? That's despicable!)
Yeah I heard that before. So don't come at me with that bullshit.
"Mind me asking. But what spot am I going to fill?" He said curiously, twirling my hair in his finger. Why does everyone do that?
I attempted to swat his finger away, a tongue being stuck out instead. I sighed turning around as I winked, seductively saying,
"Oh,the spot on my bed of course...~"
He only blushed, smirking as he pushed me against the wall, towering over me with those emerald eyes glistening in my golden ones.
"If that's what you want, Princess. Let me tell you something. I make that spot work real wonderfully if I might add."
I snorted, pushing him away with his chuckles right behind me.
This is going to be something new for me to adjust, yet...
I think I might like this new change around here.
