Chapter Twelve: The Tenth Question

For the last 45 minutes the ninjas around the room kept calling out numbers and people were arguing about how if they were cheating or not.

"Alrighty. Time is almost up! It's the last fifteen minutes. But before the last question, there are still rules you need to be aware of for this specific question." Ibiki stated.

Everyone was frozen, the silence in the air was tense until Kankuro opened the door and sat back in his seat.

I've never seen that ninja before... is that the use of The Crow...?

"These rules I'm about to tell you are specifically for question number ten. Hopefully these rules won't frighten you. Rule number one, you can choose to take this question or you want or not. But if you choose not to take question the question, then you automatically fail, so does the rest of your team." He said evilly.

Everyone was mumbling in confusion.

"But, if you take the tenth question and miss it, not only do you fail, but you are permitted to never take the Chunin Exams ever again!" He yells.

"What the hell?! There are many people here who've took the Chunin Exams before! You can't just tell us if we fail we can never because Chunins!" Alex yelled.

"Well... I guess you're just unlucky then. Cause this is my first time proctoring the Chunin Exams. *pauses* Alrighty, for those who don't want answer the final question, you may raise your hand and then you'll be free." He says.

At first no body rose their hands, until slowly one by one people were raising their hands, getting up and leaving. Once everyone left, it was silent, but I noticed that Naruto was shaking.

"DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME! I DON'T QUIT AND I DON'T RUN! YOU CAN ALL ACT TOUGH AND ALL BUT NONE OF YOU WILL SCARE ME OFF!! I DON'T CARE IF I'M STUCK AS A GENIN MY ENTIRE LIFE, I WILL BE HOKAGE SOMEDAY!!!!" Naruto yells slamming his hand on the desk.

I'm proud Naruto... I'm very proud...

"This is a decision that could change your life forever. This is your last chance. If any of you want to leave, this is your time now." Ibiki said.

"No way, I don't go back on my word and that's my ninja way." Naruto said with a smile.

Everyone started to mumble.

"I agree with this kid!" Some ninja said.

"I do too!" Another said.

"Yeah!"

Everyone was cheering about how they aren't gonna give up.

"Alrighty! Enough everyone! For the rest of you remaining, there's only one thing left to do.... The thing I need to tell you is that... you all past the first exam!" Ibiki says with a small smile.

Everyone was in shock.

"What do you mean we all pass?! Where's the tenth question?!" Sakura yelled.

Ibiki laughed with a smile.

"There was a never a tenth question.. well not a written one at least. The choice of you guys staying was the answer to the tenth question." He said.

"Does that mean the other nine questions were just a waste of time?" Temari asked.

"No no, it was the opposite actually. It was to test your ability on gathering information under extreme conditions. If you didn't notice, the first nine questions questions were quite difficult for a normal Genin to answer and hopefully most of you caught on to the point where you realized you were supposed to cheat. So I disguised two Jounin who already knew the answers to sit in with you guys." Ibiki explains gesturing myself and the other Jounin to stand up and wave.
