Levi took a sip of his tea and sighed. It had been a long day. Hanji had been on his ass about her new theories on Eren's abilities and other nonsense. Levi could have sworn she would have dropped dead from talking too much but he didn't stay long to find out. Leaving her in her own state of mind he escaped to his corridors and made himself some tea. Before all of that he had to get up early and send out a squad to send out new plans for the month.

The plans were simple and came from a man of higher ranking. A man who Levi trusted well, Erwin Smith. Erwin at first despised Levi or rather it was the other way around. Now they were friends. But Levi didn't want to make that known. Friends wasn't the word he would use, no. That word had too much meaning behind it and Levi was burned with meaning. No, they were merely soldiers that put their lives on each other, nothing more. It's not like he would be friends with the freaks like Hanji, Eren and Erwin. No, they were comrades. But he did trust the crazy bastard.

"LEVI!! THERES BEEN ANOTHER TRAGEDY!!" Levi heard Hanji yell as she busted his door wide open, walking in with tears in her eyes.

Guess he didn't escape her well enough.

Levi stood up quickly almost ready to strangle her. However, her screaming beat him to it.

"OH LEVI MY POOR BABY DARWIN DIED. LEVI HELP ME I CANT GO ON LIKE THIS!!" She bawled tragically and very dramatically as she grab hold of his jacket and shook him violently.

Ok now he was pissed. Her filthy psycho hands were ruining his clean and neat uniform. Not to mention her 'precious' Darwin was just a god damn 14 ft Titan that she captured for research. It died due to it having eaten a soldier's finger when they had to tighten the chains. Levi was grateful when he heard the news to put the Titan down. He just never got around to tell her. Guess she found out, he thought. If anything he was planning on killing the damn thing anyway. Everyday she talked about her Titans. Well there really wasn't any day she didn't but it was more often with 'Darwin' alive.

"Get off me." He said shoving her away and glaring at her.

"B-BUT LEVI-" she cried.

She was now on her knees begging for comfort from Levi.

There was a voice suddenly heard from behind Levi at his door.

"What's going on here?" The voice said.

It was deep and Levi recognized it instantly.

"Commander Erwin." Levi said turning to him so Erwin could she the teary eyed Hanji laying on the floor.

Erwin looked from Hanji to Levi in an understanding way.

"Hanji, shouldn't you be focusing on Eren right now? I know about your Titan but rules are rules." He said bluntly but in a way that calmed Hangi's hysterical rampage.

Hanji stood up nodding.

"You are absolutely right sir! Darwin is merely lint compared to the dust bunny of Eren!" She said while rubbing her tears away.

"Hanji for the love of god you sound like you are in love with those damn Titans." Levi said angrily.

"Levi-" Erwin warned but Hangi just laughed.

"Levi oh dear god of course I do. I care about them all." She said then she got the creepy look on her face and was back to normal Hanji.

"I'll be off to visit Eren our little talk here just got new ideas in my head." And with that she left as quickly as she came.

Only to leave Erwin and Levi standing in his doorway staring at each other.

"How the hell did that little talk spring ideas?" Levi thought.

The silence was long but Levi didn't dare to say anything. Matter of fact he had nothing to say. Erwin looked down on his short friend then to the table where Levi's tea sat.

"Do you have some left?" Erwin asked still standing in the door looking at Levi's tea.

Levi was facing staring at the wall to Erwin's right. He didn't make eye contact with Erwin.

"What?" He asked slightly coldly.

"Your tea?" Erwin began now looking down to Levi. "I just-"

"Yes, I do" Levi said looking at Erwin.

He stuttered a bit knowing he had cut off Erwin.

"You want some?" He asked now as Erwin still stared at him.

"That would be nice, yes." Erwin said as he came into Levi's corridor.

He sat down at the bench and watched as Levi walked over to the kitchen and take the tea kettle off of the stove. The fire below it that had cooked the water warmed up the room. Through the window across the room the sun began to set. It glowed the room as Levi began to grab a cup to pour his commander's tea.

"I don't know why Hanji cares about those Titans so damn much." Levi mumbled.

"Well she puts her work into them." Erwin answered but it only made Levi grumble more.

Their conversations were like friends in a way they talked because well other then talking about orders to other soldiers they had no one else to talk to. That is beside Hanji but that was Hanji. One thing unsettled between them. That no matter how much they trusted each other and wanted to talk to each other it just felt wrong due to their past.

"How are you holding up Levi?" Erwin asked as Levi walked over to him with his tea in hand.

"I was better before four eyes showed up." He grumbled while handing Erwin his tea and then sitting down across from him.

Erwin took a sip of the tea even though it was boiling hot. Levi looked down at his tea. It was almost gone but had a few sips left.

"Levi show some sympathy she cares about them a lot ." Erwin said as Levi scoffed.

"She acts as if she lost a comrade." He mumbles taking a sip of his own tea. He looked straight forward as Erwin tried to catch his eyes. Levi didn't look up nor at him.

Erwin placed his cup back on the table and put his elbow on the table with his fingers crossed together. His chin leaned on his hands.

"Well wouldn't you be upset if someone you loved died?" Erwin asked brutally.

"Yes but not like that. I wouldn't be upset if she died though." He said out of annoyance.

"What about if I did?" Erwin asked randomly.

This made Levi look at Erwin. Even though he didn't show it he was in a tiny bit shocked at Erwin's question. Though his eyebrows still furrowed in anger as it always did.

"I wouldn't be shocked due to you carrying your ass into battle after a great speech like a god damn crazy maniac." He scowled.

Was that a big ass lie. Erwin was the closet person he knew. He trusted him. Hell he respected him. He would probably be dead now if it wasn't for him. He lost so many people in his life that one more might utterly crush him. But this thought he always denied. He didn't need anyone.

Erwin smiled at the fact that he did do that a lot.

"I guess your right. I wouldn't be either." Erwin said as he stood up.

He looked at his short friend and his eyebrows squinted together as the sun reached its last point at setting.

It glowed the room completely and it shined on Levi's face. Erwin looked past Levi's deadly expression. In fact he always had. But the soft sun on his face made Erwin realize something he never did about Levi.
