Peter could smile, there was reason to insist he couldn't, but that doesn't mean he wanted to.
Peter Parker, Spiderman, however you put it, lived with non other than his father figure know as Tony Stark. Every Avenger fell it love with the boy when they met him, he was considered the youngest brother, even the son of the hero family. He always smiled, always found good in bad. No Avenger had seen him cry, or complain, he was the description of a perfect kid. At least...on the outside.
Peter was damaged, every smile he displayed was just a mask, a fake. Every laugh was forced from the chuckle to a giggle, every time he found good in the world, it always came crashing down on him, when no one was watching. He cried himself to sleep almost every night, but if an Avenger was near by? He turned it into giggles and that's what kept everyone away.
He was broken, he knew this, but he didn't care. Everything pushed him over, but what was going to kill his heart was what 6 people did, to push him away.
