Prunes, icecream, and one late night

DEDICATED TO NANNI1998

Icklebickle and Nanni swam for hours. They jumped off of the diving board yelling silly phrases like:"For Narnia!" or "For the shire!" or " I believe I can fly!" Icklebickle literally flew. She would run on the diving board and then take a running jump and then leap into the air. She spread her arms out like wings, and then closed them above her head, in diving position right before she hit the water. She was able to get across half of the pool, and her pool was fairly large. All of this happened in less than two seconds. The two of them also put on snorkels and swam around. They quickly became bored and started a torpedo war. They would throw the torpedoes at each other under the water and wrestle to catch the ones which sank to the bottom. Also, Icklebickle's puppy played fetch in the pool but got bored also and decided to swim after Icklebickle. Turns out the pup was a fast swimmer, Icklebickle freaked out and her mom got the whole thing on camera. Nanni found this a great entertainment.  It was one of the best times Icklebickle and Nanni had ever had in the pool. Eventually after all the swimming, the two girls turned into prunes. 

They dried off and had spaghetti for dinner. They watched a movie and hung out in Icklebickle's room after everyone else went to bed. Her room was to hot to sleep in so the two grabbed all the pillows and blankets out of Icklebickle's room and took it down stairs to the guest bed room. 

"So much cooler down here."

"ya, we should sleep downstairs too."

"Ya, so what do you wanna do now?"

"Oh, I know I have some cool pics I wanna show you on my iphone."

The next hour or so was spent looking at pics and Nanni spamming Icklebickle with them. Some of the pics had cute little quotes in them. (and the next day, somehow some of these little cute quotes got onto Icklebickle's parents email and they asked her whowas sending her love e-cards. ewww.)  After spamming each other, the two girls decided to have a midnight snack.

"Nanni you have to try some of this icecream, it is so good, like, to die for good."

'''ok. sounds good to me."

Icklebickle led Nanni to the freezer.

"Prepare to be amazed!"

She opened the freezer while saying AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH, like something was descending from heaven. Icklebickle carefully pulled out the ice cream.

"Its vanilla icecream with caramel swirled into it. And guess what?"

"What?" said Nanni.

"It has little pieces of waffle cone dipped in chocolate mixed in......mmmmmmmm..."

"Does it have coffee flavor?" Nanni asked skeptically.

"Nope, my dad doesn't like coffee either, but he likes this ice cream."

"Ok."

So, the girls took the whole tub of ice cream and two large spoons into the guest bedroom. They managed to finish the whole entire thing whilst gossiping.

"So, Icklebickle,"Nanni said dangerously,"how is it you managed to fail,again?"

Icklebickle sighed, she knew what Nanni was referring to, "yes, I just couldn't get him alone! And...And... My PARENTS were right there!" indicating a spot close to her while waving her hand ferociously. 

"Seriously, what am i going to you? Well, at least you have a guy you like and he most likely likes you back. Where as I'm-"

"Don't say it!" icklebickle warned

"FOREVER ALONE!" Nanni sighed dramatically

"ugh. Do u really need to hear this whole thing again?" Icklebickle and Nanni argued for what seemed like forever.

"but you are not forever alone! Youe haven't even started high school yet."

"I'm FOREVER ALONE!"

"whatever."

"So, you need to get his number at finals, its your last chance!"

"there is also a party after."

"that would work perfectly."

"Cool, I wish you could come to finals, and be my moral support though." 

"Ha, ya, I would make sure you got his number, and even embarrassed you while doing it."

"I suppose that would work." Icklebickle said distantly, "I need a little wake up call."

The girls talked late into the night and read their iBooks and only managed to get about 4 hours of sleep.
