Drai meets Candy

A knock at the door awakes me and I instantly jump up, forgetting Candy was there and nearly tripping over her.

'Oh crap.' I mumble to myself.

The knocking is insistent.

'Im coming!' I shout at the door, waking up Candy.

She sees me and shrieks.

Well this is going just great.

The knocking continues still, as I walk toward the door.

'Look I'm on my way!!' I shout. Before I fling open the door to Drai and two of her pets on either side of her.

'Finally.' She huffs and strides inside, her pets flanking her.

She spots Candy and gives a small gasp of delight.

'Oh isn't she just so cute! I want her! Oh she is so pretty and small and innocent! So cute!' She squeals.

This is how the most dangerous vampire in the country acts around cute pets. I sigh but give a little giggle.

'She is. I picked her out myself.' I say with pride.

'Good choice Cher.' She walks over to Candy who had began shaking, and crouches down to they are face to face.

'Aww. Look she's shaking. You aren't going to drug her?' She asks me.

'No, I don't believe in them. I prefer the old fashion restraints.' I say to her.

'Mm your choice.' She says straitening and walking back over toward me. She turns to her pets and dismisses them with a wave.

'Go play with Candy.' She looks at me. 'That is her name right?'

'Yes. Well now it is. Her original name was Gurtrude.'

'Eww. Makes me want to puke. I like Candy.'

'Me too.'

We stand and watch her Pets try to get Candy to talk to them but she bluntly refuses.

I end up walking over there and unhooking her lead.

I go to walk off expecting her to get up and follow, but she doesn't move.

'Get up!' I snap at her and jerk the chain.

She whimpers but obeys.

I grin triumphantly at Drai and walk her out the door. I own the next floor so I can train her up there. As we walk I ask Drai how she trained her pets to be so loyal.

'Well firstly, I showed them that they can't escape me. So that's pointless. Then I showed them how amazing it is being a vampire. Then I said that one day I might turn one of them into my apprentice if they behave. Only the best one of course. It keeps them loyal. Also other methods of punishment when they step out of line. You'll get the hang of it sis.'

'Ok. Can't escape. Awesome vampire shit. Apprentice. Punishment. Got it.'

We climb the last few stairs and unlock the door I got installed to keep unwanted visitors out.

I drag Candy in and lock her leash to some bars I got installed for that reason. Once the doors were locked I let Candy off her leash to see what she would do. She doesn't move. That's disappointing.

'Move.' I say to her. She whimpers and curls into a ball.

'Move!' I snap and kick her side. She begins to crawl away slowly.

I grab her collar and pull her off the ground.

'Hopeless human. You need a lot of training. So let's begin.'
