Darkness is all I'm inaccompanied byshadows casted by lightning along with the thunders roaring


I am terrifiednot being familiar with the cityas I recently moved in


Switching the phone's torch onI somehow find a candle


Half past 11There's a knock on my doorI startle, contemplating to open


and... the knock intensifiesGathering my fears togetherI walk up there and slightly open"Thank goodness! You are a human"


He chuckles...Shit I was loud!Clearing his throat, he asksIf his roommate by any chance left the keysat my place


I say no...


Breaking the awkward silenceI invite him inYes! A stranger-neighborShould I be worried!?


Can I use your phone?he interrupts, my series of thoughts!


There we stand in the balconySmoking a cigarette


Not terrified anymoreI gaze at our silhouettein the dim candle lightand the faintsound of the wind chimes
