The Deceit Among Us Excerpt/Prologue
I stare at the dead body in front of me with blood pooling around it. The once warm and loving body had turned cold and blue. That body on the floor belonged to my brother.
I had a knife in my hand, and all of a sudden, I felt a rush that made me feel like a different person.
I smirked at the sight of his blood oozing out of his slit up neck.
I grabbed his head which was barely holding on to his neck, and whispered into his lifeless ear,
"You deserve this. You deserve to die."
Then I woke up.
Why would I even think of that? Why would I dream about me killing my brother?
After all, I was just accused of killing him, I didn't actually do it.
I just walked in at the wrong time.
