One thing joe loved about dianne was her accent. We all know joe loves australia but non of us know HOW much he adores it. So when he fell in love with australian dianne buswell, the accent was a big plus. He found it cute, like the way she shortens words and adds 'o' onto the end.
He was drawn in by her accent mostly, it wasn't completely australian as she had hints of english but it was still obviously aussie. She always talked about australia too, he could tell how much he loves her home, which makes him excited for when he can finally visit it. He can also tell how much her family means to her in oz. Yes, she has her uk family, but her blood family just isn't the same. She adores her parents with all her heart, but she also adores joe with all her heart. which means the three people she loves so dearly about to meet means so so much to her.
Its was 3 o'clock, and joe and dianne were enjoying a quiet brunch in the heart of new york. They took a quick getaway after pro tour to NY as dianne did it as a little surprise and after joes previous trip for zoes birthday, joe knew how much of a wonderful place it was so he wanted to show dianne all the amazing places he loved.
There they were in the heart of new york, enjoying a quick brunch before heading to the airport to go back home, when dianne got a text from her mum which read 'we're just heading to the airport now! see you soon xx' .
Dianne squealed with excitement, gaining a weird stare from joe. She showed him the message and he smiled sweetly in response
"Are you nervous" she questioned with slight sarcasm.
"Erm no, not really. " He calmy stated, eating one last bite.
"Really? a little birdie told me you were even transforming the spare bedroom for them" she raised an eyebrow at him.
"Firstly, thats for something else and secondly, sure i wanna make it look nice, why wouldnt i?" He put his knife and fork down and rested his chin on his hands, looking deeply into her eyes.
"Fair point, anyway we best go." They stood up and, after paying for the bill, left to get to the airport.
Meanwhile mark and rina were buzzing, i mean they were about to meet the man who makes their daughter so happy.
A few hours later, or what feels like a few days later, mark and rina finally arrived in the uk. The night before after joe and dianne finally got home, they were (well mostly joe) cleaning the apartement, making it as welcoming as possible. Before they knew it they were in the car on the way to pick diannes parents up.
Joe wasn't as nervous as he thought he would be, i mean sure he was a little nervy but it was nothing big. Well thats until joe parked his car, then he really felt it. They walked into the airport hand in hand, waiting by the arrivals. Thats until the red head saw a familuar pair of people and her smile grew as she speedly walked over to them, with joe trying to catch up with her.
She squeezed them both in her arms, breathing in their familuar scents shes deeply missed. Joe stood behind smiling at diannes happiness. Well thats until mark let go, and walked towards her daughters boyfriend. Finally his thick aussie accent filled joes ears.
"And you must be joe."
Joe, being the polite man he is, went in for a nice, formal handshake. But mark, being the proud family man he is, declined and went in for a hug instead. Dianne watched in awe as her two favourite men finally met in person, with her mum smiling brightly at joe, before also going in for a hug.
Diannes smile was bigger than ever. Joe walked off with mark, pulling both his and rina's suitecases as mark talked about the plane journey to the uk. Dianne and rina walked behind arm in arm as rina chatted away about the numerous plants she had recently brought.
When they got to the car, and stuffed everything in the boot, dianne sat smiling brightly. Well it was the kind of smile you do when all you want to do us run around in happiness. Her parents, the two most important people in her life who stood by everything she did, and her boyfreind, who she fell so deeply in love with and appreciates everything she does, have finally met. She didn't need to say how she felt, you could tell her heart was so full with love.
