Nicky was so pretty, she had big round black eyes and the thick glamour look that you see on soap opera, she had a long brown curly hair and since she had lost weight she started to pay more attention in her look and show more of a feminine side and Jack had noticed how beautiful she was but also how brave she turns out to be, he had judged her when she arrived at this airport, he didn't see much in her but a lost insecure woman who didn't know where she was going in the world and why, he taught to himself" She's a little rude and impatient, she has no manner but now she seemed much more refine and he started to see the real woman inside, the one she hides the one that had been scared and alone for many years. She had never been this strong and having others pushing her was exactly what she had needed, she was lost. They were a glow and a spark in her eyes, a glow saying" I feel good, I feel beautiful!" Jack was not her number 1 fan but he needed to find a way to let her know he wanted to get to know her somehow.

Jack had been single for a while, his work and religion was this only thing that kept him company, he had not had any women in his life, he's the first date was in high school and he then dated a loyal woman who worked in the same department has him, she was a few years older and they manage to last 5 years and end with a dramatic breakup, he had been single for 3 years and try to go on blind date a few time with no success, he was timid and felt a unreplicable connexion with Nicki, he sens it a few time when he crossed her in the hallway but picture it was just his imagination playing trick on him.

Nicky was done with dating anyone!!! She didn't want to be used, she wanted to be loved for who she was. She just lost 40 lb on her own, she was stunned by her accomplishment and never a capable person before, having Mark and Stephany as a parent figure helped her to regain her confidence and she felt she was part of their newly created family in this Amazon rainforest.

That morning they were having scrambled eggs, roasted turkey and fruits with a banana shake fill up with boost power vitamins, Jack stand in front of Nicky and ask he could hold and carry her food over to her table for her, she hesitated for a second but then shake her head yes with a large smile. It was the first time such a handsome pleasant man had shown her any kind of attention and she knew Jack wasn't the type of man who chases and breaks woman's heart for a living. She felt at ease and secure around him, he brought her the platter and even gave her his shake, she thanks him and he asks if he could sit by her in the jet, she said:" Sure, absolutely"

They work out their hour session and follow this army crew to the jets, there was a mini airport trail by a hangar across the troop dormitory, the jets were already on and inspected for proper functioning. When seating on the flying jet Nicky turned all red when Jack grab her hand and she didn't push him away and felt rise up a warm wave in her chest, she didn't know what it was but it felt great, she looked at him and taught: who is this guy? I never have seen anyone like him! I never pray for my entire life and I see him practicing 3 times a day and he seems to commit to it, something she craves, feeling the love and passion in her heart. She never loved anyone before... she didn't know much about him, all she knew is that she didn't want to go to prison and she will go with the flow because it felt just right!
