Chapter 3

In the Lower Dimension…

 

Cyber’s POV

 

Cyber lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. It was 8:00. He should have gotten up half an hour ago. But His bed was too comfortable. Maybe just a few minutes more…

“CCCCCCCYYYYYYYYBBBBBBBBEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!”

Shoot.

Cyber groaned and rolled out of bed, took the longest shower possible (Only 6 minutes, dang), and lets not bother with what clothes he wore.

Sleepy, Sleepy Cyber had breakfast. Sleepy, Sleepy Cyber helped Blue at the Workshop. Sleepy,

Sleepy Cyber went to the Immortal’s (Not actually immortal, just the name of the Freedom Fighters leader) office to receive a mission.

“Listen up, this is a rank A mission.

Cyber was no longer sleepy.

His head snapped up. “What is it?” He hadn’t had a Rank A mission in a long time. The last time was last year… he was escorting a Mobian princess back home from captivity from cough cough*confidential*cough cough.

“You and another squad of Freedom Fighters will raiding a not-so secret base that we found out about recently.”

“All right,” said Cyber. “Who am I with this time?”

The Immortal (Whose real name is End the wolf, by the way), just said, “A group of three.”

Then she called, “You can come in now!” In came Uma the wolf (Immortal’s daughter), Mina the mongoose, and Cyber’s best friend and teammate, Jet the hedgehog. They stood in awkward silence for about 5 minutes before Cyber eventually said, “Oh.”

So there they were, flying in thei JetStream JIFA, a private jet plane that Jet himself had created, (JIA standing for Jet Is Freaking Awesome) towards the not-so secret base. After a while they found it. As big as a Mobian amusement park, Cyber wondered how something as big as that could be kept secret for more than a day. They landed at the edge of the Great Forest, and there they made their plan.

Uma dug through her pockets and brought out a small square disc. she pressed the red button on the right, and a holographic map of the entire base appeared. She pointed at what seemed to be the front entrance.

“Since there are four of us,” she said, “We should have two of us distract the SwatBots at the front. Then the other two will sneak up here…” she turned the map 180 degrees so that the others could see something like an underground entrance. “The underground tunnel should lead to the main room, where they’re keeping a Chaos Emerald. After we take it , we’ll meet up at this same place and then go back in to fill the Power Room with metal bombs, we get free fireworks, and our mission is complete.” Jet raised his hand, like he was in class.

“How is this an A rank mission? We’re only taking one Chaos Emerald.”  Uma sighed.

“It’s not that simple.” The red hedgehog looked confused. “How?”

“Because, doofus, in case you haven’t noticed, this place is GIGANTIC. It’s crawling with SwatBots. You need to use stealth. Be extremely quiet. At least half of us should do.” So Cyber and Jet volunteered to be the diversion (Since they were both close-range fighters), and Uma and Mina would be taking the Chaos Emerald. “3,2,1!” Cyber and Jet charged out to meet the SwatBots. “Hey, bot-heads!” he could hear Jet yell, “Here come the Priority 1 Hedgehogs! Time to PARTAY!”

Jet shot a Mana blast, destroying several SwatBots at once. Cyber used melee attacks, aiming punches and kicks at everything that even looked like a machine. They were doing pretty well. But still, more SwatBots kept coming. Cyber hoped that Uma and Mina would hurry up. After fighting for hours more, Cyber a shot a Chaos Beam at yet another group of bot-heads, and said to Jet, “I wonder what’s taking them so long.” Jet just shrugged.

“Don’t worry, they can take care of themselves.” But just then, they heard a loud

BOOM!!!! Both Cyber and Jet looked at each other. Neither of them had caused the explosion. They ran in the direction of the noise. ( yet another cliffhanger!!!!!!:)
