Regected but I don't need him

chapter 6

  I woke up early,way before Lucy wakes up. I grab my bag and go to the kitchen and grab a couple days worth of food then I grab something to eat quickly. After I was done eating I put a letter on the counter for Lucy and quietly left.
  I walked to the pack border and officially leave the pack for good. I haven't changed yet, I just felt like walking for now. A few hours has gone by while walking, it's almost dark at this point, so now I'm trying to find a place to bed down for the night in the woods.
I soon find a small clearing and put my things down. I'm far away from the packs territory at this point. I undress and put my things in my bag. And change into my wolf for the night and lay down. I fall asleep quickly and Ella is on alert to everything just in case.By morning nothing happened and I wake up and grab my bag in my mouth and continue on.
  After awhile Ella is asking if she can have control so I let her. We are running now just because we can. The feel of the earth beneath our feet and the wind in our fur is the greatest thing in the world. Right now life is grand, we are happy and free.
   We're not sure how far we ran for before we stopped dead in our tracks. Something wasn't right, something was wrong. "Ella what's going on?""I don't know,just not right, we'd k know if we wandered on to another packs territory wouldn't we?"Ella says.
  Then out of nowhere a big grey wolf comes out of the shadows growling at us with it's teeth bared. I'm scared but Ella is confident since it's just one. But it is big, taller than me and Ella that is.
   I begin to back away and it follows. This wolf is really angry. I try to mind link it and nothing. I smell the air and it's definitely a rogue wolf and could definitely hear me through mind link. I then try my best alpha voice through mind link, "stand down I mean no harm, I'm just passing through."
  The wolf calms a little but then out of nowhere it attacks me. I have a little bit of fighting experience but not much, just enough to get me out of a jam.
  It goes for my throat which would definitely kill me if it got ahold of me. I ducked down and just in time. I bite it's leg and it howls in pain. Then it gets the better of me and I'm on the ground at it's mercy. As it's about to give me the final blow that'd kill me it's suddenly off me and laying on the ground 10feet away with it's throat ripped out and another wolf standing above it.
   The wolf is jet black with no markings what so ever. After his kill he goes behind a tree a changes. He comes out clothed and looks at me. Ella and I are not sure what to do. I want to run but Ella wants to stay for some reason.
   I finally look up in his eyes and that's when it happens, Ella...."mate".
I look at him stunned. She wolves only get one mate, so I can't have a second chance mate. "Ella are you sure?" Ella..."yes mate."
   I grab my bag and go change behind a tree. I go sit and grab something to eat out of my bag and toss him some to. He comes and sits next to me. We eat in silence, afterwards I get up and start walking. He follows behind me slowly, unsure what to do.  After awhile Ella wants to go hunt because that little snack just made us hungry. I go behind a tree and change. I grab my bag in my mouth and walk out to see he changed to. I trot off quietly to hunt with him at my side.
  I hear a deer not to far off and put my bag down. He sits next to it for a second and realizes what I am doing. I have never hunted before so I give control over to Ella. She slowly and quietly slinks to where we can see the deer, she crouches and waits. Right at the time it put it's head down to get grass Ella pounces on it and ripes it's throat out. Dinner....
  The black wolf comes trotting over with my bag in his mouth. Drops it and I go change. I come out and he's got a small fire started already and cooking the meat. Ella is very proud of herself for our first hunt for food.
