He Will Care

"CYBIL!" I called out into the darkness. The faint tapping of water from a broken sink echoes through the mart. She had to be here, she just had to! Chuckling arose from the corner of the mart as soon as the chipped white door closed.
"It's about time. Any later than this, and she would've been dead." Jackson's combat boots clicked on the stained tile as he stepped out from behind an empty shelf of what used to be holding comic books. "It's been a long time since we've confronted each other. I almost didn't recognize you earlier. You've looked more like a horse's ass than ever." He snorted and looked behind an aisle. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fist.

"Bring the bitch out," he murmured to someone. Mike pushed Cybil in front of him, grabbing her by her shoulder. I gasped and started walking towards her. "Cy-"
"Take another step, and she'll lose an ear," Jackson held a pair of scissors up to her ear. A tear ran down her face as she gripped the end of her mud covered jacket in fear.
"Don't you even think about hurting Cybil," I hissed. He smirked and looked at her.
"Cybil, is it? Well, wonder how he found such a beauty as you," he pushed her hair behind her ear and slid his hand down on the side of her face. She flinched and started saying something under her breath.
"Don't you touch her, you bastard!" I yelled at him in anger.
"Then fight me," Jackson laughed. "Fight me and if you lose, you get the special privilege of watching me treat Cybil the same way I did with your dog years ago. What was her name again? Token? Coconut?"
Cybil gave a swift kick to his shin and stepped on his foot hard.
"It's Toka, dumbass." Cybil spat before being interrupted with Jackson's scissors swiping her left cheek.
"I said don't touch her!!" I screamed at him as I charged full speed with the switchblade in my hand. I slammed him into the concrete wall of the mart and stabbed his shoulder. He yelped and kicked me to the ground.
"Mickey!" Cybil yelled in fright. Mike held her arms back and zip-tied her wrists together. I groaned and looked up at Jackson, who's shoulder looked like red paint. He made a weird but terrifying screech and held the scissors above his head.
"Die, Mickey Wilson. DIE YOU SON OF A BITCH, DIE!" He slammed the scissors down, centimeters from my face. His bloody face turned twisted and horrifying. I slammed my knee into his stomach and turned him over. His head hit the corner of the shelf and he stumbled trying to get up, just as I did.
"You're going to hell, Mickey Wilson. God will judge you and your sins, every single one of them. You will burn there forever, and feel eternal pain and agony." Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth as he sputtered out the words and smiled in a weird jagged like way.
I shook my head and clubbed him on the back of his head with my fist, just enough to make him unconscious.
But as I held my arm up, he swiped the blade against the side of my arm. I yelled and kicked him to the ground one final time. I groaned in pain and tried to catch my breath. My eyes drifted from the bloody scissors over to Cybil who was crying hard.
For some reason, Trevor came out from the corner and started dragging an unconscious Mike and Jackson behind a couple of old boxes.
Trevor must've done that to Mike I thought as I stretched my hand outward to the wall and pushed myself up.
I didn't care right now about Trevor. He had given me a soft smile and nodded over to Cybil. She was the only thing I cared about right now.
"H-Hey..." I limped over to her and cut the zip-tie off her wrists with the knife. She wrapped her arms around me tightly and sobbed into my shoulder.
I hugged her back with all my strength and quickly touched the side of her face where Jackson had cut her.
"D-Did he hurt you anywhere? What did h-he do to you?" Tears arose from both of our eyes. She was the only thing I had, the only thing I loved. I couldn't stand the fact that Jackson even had the right to look at her. "I just have a few cuts and bruises. If it wasn't for you, I'm not sure what would've happened to me." She wiped the dripping blood off her face and stared into mine. I hugged her again and felt more tears fall from my eyes and onto the old tile floor.
"Cybil, I-I don't know what I'd do without you."
"Same here."
