When Shannon's class was finished, Alexander and I packed up to go to Art class, but all of these girls gathered around him so I just left on my own. 'Of course he's popular with the girls.' I thought annoyed. I walked into the art room and sat down across from Erin, Zac was sitting next to her. I dropped my backpack on the floor and slumped into my chair. "What's wrong Angel?" Erin asked, concerned. I nodded to my right.
Just then, a chair was pushed away from the desk next to me. I heard a backpack fall to the ground and the person practically fell into the chair by me and sighed. "Stupid girls." Alexander muttered, but Erin and I heard him. "Hey I take offense to that statement!" Erin said as she stood up. "Agreed I replied emotionlessly and looked up at her. Alexander's eyes grew wide and he tried to explain himself but we started laughing.
"Okay Angel, who's this?" Erin said giggling. "This is Alexander Graves. He's new here." I laughed, trying to calm down. "Uh, I'm sorry, but am I missing something?" He asked looking confused. "When Erin and Angel are together, I've figured out that its best not to question their humor." Zac answered and they shook hands and smiled. "So Alex," I said. "What made you so mad?"
"Its my first day here and already I'm famous with the girls. I don't like it. All I want is someone who won't be fake around me. Someone who will stay with me through both the good and bad, who will care about me no matter what I've been through. And I want to equally be there for her. I want her to be beautiful both inside and out no matter what. Someone that I can look forward to seeing every day." He replied.
We all stared at him in shock. "Angel, give me your permission to speak to him freely." Erin said, not taking her eyes off of Alexander. "Uh permission granted?" I questioned. "Great. Now leave the classroom." She demanded. "Uh okay?" I said still confused and left.

"Now that Angel's out," I said, looking at Zac and Alexander deviously. I shared a silent look with my boyfriend and he agreed. "Alexander Graves." I dropped my voice. "You just got here, we know that. But you should date Angel Knight." He looked at me. "But I don't even know her!" He said apparently freaked out. "Did you get a love at first sight feeling?" I asked him. "What?" He said. "You heard me." I responded. I'm losing my patience with this guy. Suddenly he started blushing."Angel's been through a lot." Zac said and I was relieved. "She needs someone who will treat her like a human and not a... sex toy." Alexander stared at us with wide eyes for the umpteenth time this hour. "Talk to Angel. She'll tell you all she's been through when she's ready." Then we heard, "Someone call an ambulance! Hurry!"
We bolted out of the classroom and saw Angel on the floor, crying and screaming while clutching her arm. The person that towered over her was- "Jared Rablin." I said through gritted teeth. "Zac, Alexander, grab him before he does anything else to her!" I yelled urgently and ran to my sister. Just then, I was pulled away from her and was carried back to the Art room. I thrashed in the person's arms screaming for Angel.
"Students and Teachers, sorry for the interruption but we are now in a modified lockdown. I repeat, we are now in a modified lockdown."

I woke up in a white room and my arm felt stiff but painful. 'Where am I?' I thought when suddenly my memory came back. Sitting up, I looked around and saw that I was at the hospital. I also saw Alexander sitting in a chair next to my bed, holding my hand and sleeping peacefully. "Oi, Alexander." He woke up a little but was still sleepy. He was kinda cute when he looked like that.
"Alexander Graves, you are drooling all over me. I'm not that attractive am I?" I asked looking at him smugly. That woke him up. He sat up straight. "No! I mean yes! Well, not in that way! I mean-" he stuttered but my laughter cut him off. "I'm just kidding!" I smiled. "Angel I hope you don't mind, but, who was that guy and what happened in the hall?" My smile faltered and I hesitated. Before I could respond, a nurse walked in. "Hello Angel. So it looks like your right arm is broken and it will take six weeks to heal. The doctor says to wear this sling and that its okay to go back to school."
I got out of the bed and put on the sling. "C'mon Alexander. You're driving right?" I asked, anxious to leave. "Yes I am. I'm your ride everywhere until your arm is better." He got down on one knee and held out his hand. I don't know what it was, but something in me said to give him my hand, so I did. Once our hands touched, he gently kissed my hand for a few seconds. I felt more warmth rise from the ashes of my heart. "My lady," He said huskily. "May I escort you to your carriage?" And that's when my face exploded into a hot, red tomato. Or, at least, that's what it felt like. "Of course," I said. "Let's go!"
