As soon as he handed me his poem i started to read It.
Eagles Can Fly
Monkeys can climb
Crickets can leap
Horses can race
Owls can seek
Cheetahs can run
Eagles Can Fly
People can try
But that's about itHe was looking at me the whole time. I shifted my eyes up towards him.
"So? Was it good or bad. Not that I care or anything!" He looked away and sighed. I looked down at it.
"It was good! I really liked it...it was cute..." He looked up and seemed a tad bit angry . uh oh....
"Cute!?! That's what you think!?! It's not cute it's a about giving up!?! How is that cute exactly!?!" He ripped the poem out of my hand. "I would like to see if you could do better" He reached for my poem so I handed it to him.
I stood there still shocked from the out burst and waited for him to finish. He looked up after about 2 or so minuets.
"It was good I guess... For your first time of course !" He handed it back and headed over to Someone else to share his poem. I walked over to Anti.
He looked at me and blushed a bit.
"Uh ..hey I guess we share poem right?" I nodded and we exchanged poems.
Ghost Under The Light
The tendrils of my hair illuminate beneath the
Amber glow
Bathing.
It must be this one.
The last remaining streetlight to have
withstood the test of time.
The last yet to be replaced by sickening
Blue-green of the future
I bathe. Calm; breathing air of the present but
living in the past.
The light flickers.
I flicker backI finished and realized he finished my poem already and was staring at me. I looked up and He looked away embarrassed by me catching him.
"S-so what did you think?" He looked at me awaiting my answer. He was fiddling with his hands. I noticed he does that a lot when he's nervous.
"It was really good. I loved it. He had a lot of symbolism to it" He seemed happy by my words and sighed.
"Well I like symbolism it makes things a lot better. Things being hidden in plain sight yet not is a great touch." He seemed to relax while talking "It's my way of saying things without right out saying it. It makes things seem more...hm conplex? Things that have meaning but the meaning is hidden is an amazing thing and I'm glad I figured out how to put it into words." He signed and is eyes met mine and he jumped " I-i'm so sorry I went on like that! "He looked away embarrassed. I smiled and laid a hand in his shoulder.
"it's okay. I like seeing people being able to open up too me like that..and seeing you relax and be able to do that made me smile." I tilted my head and smiled. He looked at me and smiled.
"I guess we should head to the last rotation." He smiled and we exchanged poems again. I turned and headed towards Dark. He smiled at me.
"So sharing poems?" He smiled and I nodded. We exchanged poems.
Hole in the wall
It couldn't have been me.
See, the direction the spackle protrudes.
A noisy neighbor? An angry boyfriend? I'll never know. I wasn't home.
I peer inside for a clue.
No! I can't see. I reel, blind, like a film left out in the sun.
But it's too late. My retinas.
Already scorched with a permanent copy of the meaningless image.
It's just a little hole. It wasn't too bright.
It was too deep.
Stretching forever into everything.
A hole of infinite choices.
I realize now, that I wasn't looking in.
I was looking out.
And she, on the other side, was looking in.II stared at the poem. Dark peered up from the poem and so did I our eyes met. He smiled.
"So how did y-" He was cut of my two people yelling. We looked over at Google and Anti. They were so close that they were practically touching each other. We both hurried over.
"How dare you say that about my poem! Can't you see the symbolism in it!" Google yelled at Anti. Anti slightly pushed him away.
"Symbolism!?! Symbolism!?! That's what you call that garbage of a poem! You are insulting all the meaning of symbolism!?!" Anti yelled at him getting louder with each word. I looked over at Dark and he looked stunned for words. Wilford walked over.
"At least they can read and understand my poem and writing! Yours is all scribbled and looks terrible!" Google yelled back at him. And I'd expression grew dark and he looked at Google.
"Don't say that about my writing at least I'm not writing at a 3rd grade level!" Anti was about to go on but he just turned away and walked out. Wilford looked at Us, then Google and walked out with Anti.
Google walked over and started reading Manga in the corner I'm guessing. I looked over at Dark and he seemed off.He looked at me and just sighed and put his face in his hands.
"I'm such a terrible person for not stopping them. I'm the club President and I couldn't even stop my own members from fighting. I-"
"You are not a terrible person so don't say that. It wasn't by our fault so don't think It is." I walked over and hugged him. He hugged back and laid his head on top of mine.
"M/C?"
"Yes" I looked up at him.
"Why are you so nice?" He smiled at me and hugged me a bit tighter and let go.
" I guess I just am. " I smiled and looked over at the door. Wilford and Anti came in. Anti grabbed his bag and left. I guess it's time already.
"Ready to go!" Wilford came over smiling both our bags in hand. I smiled and nodded.
"See ya tomorrow Dark." I smiled and waved. He waved back.
Today was an experience.
