Coincidence (A Cameron Dallas Fanfic)

Chapter 1

BETTINA'S POV

It was the first day of summer and I was extremely excited! Like... come on... who the hell likes school hahah. So yeah when my older sister and I got home from school, we saw our mom in our living room sitting on the couch (which was weird because my sister and I usually arrive home at 4:20 pm and our mom arrives at 10 pm because of work)

"Welcome home girls and happy summer hahaha" our mom greeted us joyfully as she got up and gave my sister and I a huge hug.

"Thanks mom hahah I'm so excited...... why are you home so early?" I asked.

"I have great news!" Mom said with excitement as she went back to sit on the couch.

"We're going to America next week!" Our little brother yelled as he went down the stairs and sat beside our mom.

"What he said" Our mom said with amusement as he pointed at our brother.

As soon as our mother said it my sister and I looked at each other and screamed because we were extremely excited. We only went to America twice and the last time that we went to the States was 5 years ago and 5 years is a really long time. The only reason why we go there is because of our dad, he lives there because of his job, which is being a businessman. I miss him so much and now we get to visit again! I couldn't contain my excitement!

"Wait wait wait wait" our mom says while gesturing us to calm down and sit on the other 2 smaller couches.

"Why ma?" Chelsea asked.

"I have to explain something so please stop screaming" our mom said calmly.

"Ok sorry" I said and Chelsea took the couch on the left while I took the one on the right.

"Good. Now since we're all settled down, I'll tell you the problem"

"PROBLEM? WHAT PROBLEM?!" Our brother panicked.

"Ricky please just listen" mom said.

"Sorry." Ricky apologised.

"Ok... We are going to America in a week, and I already bought the tickets, but..."

"But what?" I said curiously.

"But you'll take the second flight to America...alone..." she said the last part silently as if it meant to be a whisper.

"what? me? alone? from here to America? You've got to be kidding me." I said. I was shocked because first, why didn't she pick my older sister to take the 2nd flight alone and secondly, why on earth would she take a plane ticket that is on a different day? My mom is always so over protective of us, not allowing us to go alone to parties, to the mall or anywhere for that matter and now, she would make me go on a plane alone from the Philippines to America? That's the other side of the damn world! And she's letting me go ALONE? I know what you're probably thinking , 'it's not a big deal why the hell is she over reacting?' well it's because it's my first time to go somewhere alone.

"Yes Tina, I'm so sorry, it's just that all flights from here to the America were booked and there were only 3 left for next week, and 1 left for the day after. We're lucky we even got tickets or else we have to wait another 3 months to get tickets." She said, and I could hear the sadness in her tone.

"it's ok mom.... at least we get to see dad. just make a list or something on the things that I have to do and the things that I should have from here, to American"

"You're not mad?" she was confused.

"No. Just scared" I replied.

"It'll be fine Bettina. I'm scared for you too but, I know you can do it" my mom reassured me.

"Thanks" I smiled and she got up to go upstairs, Chelsea and Ricky weren't there anymore so I supposed they left when they knew that the problem was concerning me and not them.

When my mom was already halfway up the stairs, I asked her something

"Mom! Why did you choose me to take the 2nd flight and not Chelsea?"

She smiled and said "It's because I knew you were more responsible and braver than your sister. Chelsea wouldn't go if she knew that she would be the one to take the 2nd flight. She might even loose all her luggage and get lost."

After she said that she continued walking upstairs and I was left downstairs laughing and "giving myself a pat-on-the-back" thinking that mom realises that.
