No ordinary Surfer Boi (Cody Simpson)

Chapter 2

Elli's P.O.V:

As Liv and I walked up to the boys, they saw us and smiled, rushing over to hug us.

"Hey guys!" Jake said as he reached us, leaning down to gently kiss me on the lips. Luke did the same with Liv. We all headed to our little secluded spot, and put our things down. Liv got her towel out and laid down next to Luke, but I took off my shorts and top, waxed my surfboard and then headed over to the water. I absolutely LOVE my surfboard, it was a present from my mum and dad five years ago for my eighth birthday. It has light, dark and medium blue flowers on it, has 'ELLI' written in nice blue cursive writing and black music notes are written all over it. It is the best board I have ever gotten!

When I reached the edge of the water, I bent down to tie the cord to my ankle and looked around the beach. There wasn't many people here, except for our group there was only two family's here. One on the other side of the beach, and one about fifty meters from us. Oh well, that was good for us. After I'd finished with the cord, I put my surfboard under one arm and ran into the water. It was just nice, not too warm, not too cold. That was one of the things I loved about living in the Gold Coast, the beaches. When the water was up to my waist, I laid my board in front of me and hopped onto it, lying face-down, and began paddling into deeper water. When I was about fifty or so metres out from the shore, I sat up and waited for some waves to come. As I was waiting, I examined the beautiful beach in front of me and everyone on it. I saw Liv lying next to Luke, and Jake sitting by himself watching me. I waved at him and he waved back. I looked a t the family that was near our spot. There was five of them, two adults, a girl who looked about my age, a boy who looked younger than me and another boy who appeared about  year older than me. They all had realy nice blonde hair and blue eyes. The boy and girl about my age looked up and saw me watching them and smiled and waved. I waved back to them. I heard a wave forming behind me, and laid down on my stomach again. As I got pushed slowly to shore by the wave, I got to my knees and then stood up when the wave got bigger. I felt a massive adrenalin rush as I rocked side to side with my board. I got engulfed into a huge wave  and bent my knees to avoid falling off. I put my hand out and my fingertips brushed the water as I went through, ducking my head. A few seconds later, the wave engulfing me ended and I rocked side to side again along the smaller waves until I reached the shore. I got off my board and out of the water. I wasn't watching where I was going, so when I stepped onto the warm sand, I accidently bumped into someone and they fell backwards.
