Megan sat in her room in her black pleated school skirt and crisp white shirt. Her black socks were pulled up over her knees and her black wedges were polished to shine. Megan was all about cleanliness and liked things to be orderly so her room and uniform were of the highest standard. She lazily combed out her long brown hair before tying it up in a her customary tight ponytail which reached her mid back.

Megan's mother peaked into her daughters room smiling brightly with a mug of tea in one hand and Megan's usual Cappuccino with a gentle sprinkling of chocolate on the top. "Thank you mum." She smiled up seeing her own soft hazel eyes mirrored on her mother's petite face. "How you feeling this morning?" Her mother asked and she smiled widely. "Fine." Terrible, I hate school. Megan took a sip of her drink then set it down on the dresser before wrapping her tie around her neck and tying it then reaching for her black cardigan which her mother passed over to her. "Come on or you'll be late." Please don't make me go! "Okay."

Megan's mother dropped her off at the school gates and waved at her daughter as she drove off. Wait mum, come back! Don't leave me here! Yet another day in Hell for Megan Richards; let's see what delights school held for Megan today.

In registration Meg sat in her usual seat and her friends took their seats by her. Rachael the dipsy, pretty, doe eyed, platinum blonde smiled innocently as always which made it hard not return the smile as Brooke fell into her seat beside Timber who was having a star off with his twin sister Ciarnan, there orchid eyes locked with a sparkling intensity. Brooke whipped her ash blonde hair back into Timber's face making him lose the competition with his sister who ruffled his black hair before she began to fix her own. Elizavetta pranced into the room with her brother Checkov who was in the middle of a sibling argument in their natural tongue of Russian.

Timber and Checkov were busy complaining about their sisters while all the girls talked  about the latest Doctor Who. "Meg can I borrow your math homework? I forgot to do it." Brooke smiled with guilt and Rachael pulled a pouty face, clearly she hadn't done it either. "Sure." Megan sighed reaching into her bag and pulling out the maths sheet just as a girl they'd never seen before walked into the room and everyone fell silent. "Who's she?" Megan asked while placing the math sheet on the desk.

After a few minutes of staring at the girls back, which wasn't bad to look at, she finally turned to face them with a smile that could melt hearts of stone. The new girl flipped her long wavy red hair back which looked like silk and scanned the classroom with her stunning green panther eyes. She seemed uninterested with the class full of people until her searching eyes found Megan and her smile became more sincere as her eyes deepened before returning to normal and she clasped her hands. "Would you like to introduce yourself?"

"Of course, how rude of me," Her voice was like dripping honey and chocolate engaging and sensual. "My name is Myrnin Salem, I hold the highest grades across the entire U.S.A. I was born January sixteenth and am fifteen, I look forward to meeting you all and hope we can be friends." At the last half of her introduction she glanced at Megan before looking back at Miss Harlton. Miss Harlton rose to her feet and glanced around the class. "Who would like to show Miss Salem around for the week?" The teacher asked and all hands in the class shot up say for Megan's who didn't want to make a new friend who would betray her. "Myrnin Rachael will show you around she's lovely." Miss Harlton smiled gesturing to Rachael who was waving her hand like a mad woman.

All day Myrnin hadn't tried to speak with Megan instead she occasionally made eye contact from across the classroom and smiled. Megan really wanted to hate her, but the way she smiled and the glimmering in her bright green eyes it was impossible and now they were all sat in the dining hall in their corner far from the other students of Lawhill Highschool.

"What do you think of the new girl?" Elizavetta asked leaning over the table and they all glanced over at Rachael and Myrnin waiting in the que for food. "She's hot, smart and has an angel's personality what more could a guy ask for?" Timber asked and Checkov nodded his agreement as Ciarnan playfully slapped her brother while rolling her eyes. "Myrnin seems really nice and she likes all the things we like so she's doomed to be one of us." Ciarnan smiled biting down on an apple slice while Brooke made a robotic movement, "One of us, you will become one of us!"  Brooke imitated a darleck's voice and everyone laughed and through small pieces of chocolate at her. "Awww come on at least through them at my mouth!" She yelled and everyone went silent then burst out laughing. "You dirty minded brats!" Brooke exclaimed shoving a piece of chocolate into er mouth.

"Hey guys!" Rachael chimed so everyone shuffled up making room for her. "Sit down next to Tim, he won't bite." Rachael motioned so Myrnin sat down beside him. "Well unless you like that sort of thing in which case I'll bite, only for you though." Timber whispered in her ear and her eyes widened before she smiled looking away and blushing. "Oh my..." Myrnin said in a breathy voice before returning her attention to the food in front of her. "Have you met Megan? She's our genius!" Checkov stated hugging Megan and tussling her hair; she huffed and shoved Checkov back before fixing her hair and glaring at her. "Megan Richards, she's very much a genius indeed some of the highest scores I have ever seen." Myrnin complimented offering a hand to Megan which she hesitantly shook meeting that intense gaze.

Megan, Rachael and Myrnin had a free period so were sat in the library talking until Rachael had left to the science block to get some help on something so Megan and Myrnin sat in awkward silence. Laura and Barely sauntered over snickering as they moved towards Megan. Without warning Laura tipped a bottle of coke over Megan and Myrnin shot up pushing the girl back before Megan had even reacted to the sticky cold drink now covering her. "Hey now, that ain't no way to be treating a fellow schoolmate." Myrnin said in a calm voice standing between Megan and the two girls. Barely smiled at Myrnin and placed a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Your the new girl right? You don't want to be hangin' with trash like that now do ya?"

"She has the second highest test scores in the country, the way I see it she's pretty high grade trash, which makes you the waste that even the maggots don't want." Megan stared at Myrnin in awe, she wasn't even vexed by these girls who were now infuriated by her insult. "You come to this school all chipper expecting a warm welcome, well screw you! We ain't gonna be your circus freaks!" Laura yelled and Myrnin pressed a finger to her lips hushing her. "Hush now, it's a library, even y'all circus freaks should know that a library's supposed to be quiet." Megan wanted to laugh as Barely gasped and Laura hissed. Laura moved her hand swiftly to slap Myrnin, but Myrnin caught her hand and sighed. "Now that wasn't very nice of you, now leave there ain't no room for trash like y'all." Surprisingly Laura and Barely slowly nodded before running off scrambling over each other to escape.

Once Laura and Barely had ran off Myrnin had pulled Megan out of the library and into the schools beauty studio and stuck her into a chair putting a towel around Megan's shoulder. "That coke ain't no good for such nice hair as yours, it'll make it all sticky." Myrnin said rinsing warm water through Meg's hair massaging her scalp as she did so. "Myrnin, you didn't have to help me you know, I'm used to it." Megan said in a blunt tone, she'd never had someone stick up for her so willingly without worry or consequence like Myrnin had. "You shouldn't be used to it Megan, and as long as you are my friend no one will torment you while I'm around." Myrnin smiled rinsing out the shampoo which she'd lathered Megan's hair in.
