Kurtis sat at a bus stop, across from a large skyscraper in uptown Tokyo. So this was the un-official Yakuza HQ, he thought leaning back against the bench. He had tailed Mei after he had had his fun with her and watched her enter the building.
Now he was waiting and watching, patiently, or as patiently as he could manage under the stress of losing his entire team. An hour passed and then, finally, he saw Jack and and his son come out of the building. They hastily summoned a taxi and hauled the blonde girl into it. They looked a little rushed. The backdoor was still open when they pulled away. Apparently there was some kind of emergency with the girl. Kurtis grinned. They were doing the work for him, taking care of themselves. It was really something when a plan came together, he thought.
Kurtis got up and slung his backpack over his shoulders, then mounted his motorcycle and pulled away into traffic, keeping a tail of about four car-lengths behind the taxi. With any luck they were heading to the old man in the mountains.
