Alex's POV:
I stared at myself in the dirty mirror in the dirty bathroom located in the shitty high school I attended. My hair wasn't cooperating with me. To be honest, I shouldn't have cared. I didn't have anyone to impress. But I did care. It's pretty annoying having little pieces of brown hair sliding over my glasses as I am trying to read Naruto. That and I needed to be able to at least see the twists and turns in the hallway on my way to class. I sighed. My bangs had won once again and I still had derp hair. As I washed my hands, the door opened. In came a nerdy little freshman covered in blood. Had I been a new student, I would have assumed something dreadful had happened. But I'd experienced what had just happened to him. He got punched in the mouth by some barbaric bully who didn't know the kid had braces. The kid shuffled to the sink, whimpering every now and then. I know I should have said something encouraging like "It's alright, kiddo! Just ignore them! They'll go away!" Yeah, they'll go away...After an entire year of torturing you. I think that's why I just stared at him as he washed out his mouth and checked his wires. I didn't want to give him false hope. Looking at him just brought back painful memories so I quickly rushed out of the restroom and ran straight into trouble.
Kris' POV:
I plowed through my locker vigorously. I couldn't find my cologne! I have to smell amazing to be amazing! That's like the first rule of flirtation! I sighed angrily.
"Hey, man!" a voice piped out. I turned around smiling. It was Nate. Or Matthew. Or Drew? He was a dude. I was sure of it. I just wasn't entirely sure of what his name was. I just knew we'd made out at a party once. No, I'm not gay. Or even bisexual. Or straight. A few of my friends say that since I find attraction in just about anything regardless of gender, race, etc, etc, that makes me pansexual. Whatever sexuality I was stuck with, it made me hungry for physical contact 24/7.
"Hey...Dude!" Yeah, dude. I settled on dude. It's laid back and it doesn't quite indicate that I couldn't remember his name. Oops.
"You lookin' for your cologne?" I nodded my head quickly until the point of a slight headache. The guy laughed. "You can use mine. I mean it's nothing fancy, but it's Axe and it smells quite nice." The guy handed me the canned spray. I popped off the lid and sniffed it. It smelled like something a prepubescent, middle school jock would wear to a school dance. I internally cringed. Though I had to admit, it did smell nice. I smiled.
"Thanks. I'll head to the restroom. I'll give this back to you in...What classes do we have together?" The boy's smile faded.
"M-math. We have math together, Kris. Don't you remember?"
"Uh...No?" He looked around, dropping his voice to a whisper.
"We held hands two weeks ago. After the party...In math." Aw, poor baby thought we had something.
"Oh. Yeah, I remember. Sorry, man, I'm not into you. It was a one time thing. But thanks for letting me use your stuff!"
"But I-" I walked away, cutting him off, smirking. As I did so, I bumped into a little geek. I'd seen him around. I just didn't really care too much to associate with him.
"I-I-I am so sorry!" He stammered. I chuckled.
"D-d-don't worry about it," I mocked him. I checked him out. Floppy, but spiky-ish brunette hair. Pale skin, but definitely not as pale as mine. Pink lips that seemed oh so soft. Glasses. And small, bony hands holding a book. Naruto to be exact. I'd watched the show, but I never liked to read much. "Naruto, eh?" I asked, attempting to strike a conversation. The boy blushed.
"Y-yeah. You read it?" I saw a flicker of hope in his deep brown eyes and it gave me a funny feeling in my stomach...
"Uh, no. But I've uh, watched a few episodes of the show."
"Oh." He muttered. Kris what are you doing? Get this freak out of your way so that you can smell to excel!
"Yeah. Move out of my way Stuttering Stan. I'm on a mission." As I pushed past him, he remarked:
"What? A mission to learn how to spell on a third grade level?"
"Excuse me?" I said turning around. The boy stood on his tiptoes, looking me in my eyes.
"I said are you on a mission to learn how to read on a third grade level?", he practically growled at me. Damn, that was sexy. Wait, what?
My thoughts and awkward emotions confused me. So I decided to rip off this glasses and crush them under my combat boots. The boy's face held surprise. I just smirked as I stomped on his vision assistants.
"At least I can see how to read, " I retorted. Then, I made my way into the restroom to do what I set out to do from the beginning.
