Alex's POV:

For the remainder of the school day, I couldn't stop smiling. Why? Probably for more reasons than one, but all that interested me was the new surge of popularity that I was experiencing. I hadn't really wanted popularity, but oh well. The drive home was especially....different. Kris and I made few attempts to strike conversation and when we did, it was just uncomfortably awkward for the both of us. Kris sighed, parking the car in front of my house. I looked at him, smiling softly. He smiled back, chuckling a bit.

"What?" he asked, still smiling at me.

"You know what," I retorted, smirking.

"I do?" I bit my lip in confusion.

"Well, vampires can read minds, yeah?" For some reason, this made Kris burst into a fit of laughter.

"Yeah, but not just randomly. That would be overwhelming. I've never really peered inside of your mind, so whatever it is that I allegedly know, I probably don't know." he explained. I nodded, showing him I understood.

"Well, since you don't know," I began slowly, "I want you to show me all of your vampire stuff. Like weapons and meals and books and souvenirs and-"

"Whoa, there, human," he joked, "Calm down. I've never really shown anyone any of that stuff. My parents know about some of my weapons and such but they've never touched them or seen them first hand. Not even my beloved uncle has literally seen any of my stuff. Well, aside from the Historia of Dark Heights, I suppose."

"The Historia of Dark Heights... I-It's real?" I asked, obviously in a deep state of nerd euphoria. Kris' eyes widened.

"What in fickle fackle have you been reading that let you know about the Historia of Dark Heights?"

"The Vamp Kids." The Vamp Kids weren't vampires, but rather a group of kids obsessed with vampires. Although they did sometimes have qualities of TwiHearts, they weren't. The clique was exclusive. I wasn't in it, but sometimes I'd come to their meetings so I could have some background information for certain animes and mangas. "I went to one of their meetings and they were all like ,'Hey, guys, there's this myth about the Historia of Dark Heights. We're not sure what it is, but it sounds wicked awesome, yeah?'." Kris rolled his eyes.

"Honestly, the Historia of Dark Heights isn't the slightest bit interesting. It's just like the rules and regulations of vampirism. I mean, it is pretty dire that no one finds it like...physically finds it and reads it."

"What if...What if you and I read it together? Would that be safe?" Kris smiled slightly.

"There's nothing against it, but you don't need to be involved in this. You're my 'master' or whatnot. All you need is the blackmailing information. Me being a vampire is enough blackmail, alright? No more." I pouted.

"Yeah, well, it wasn't for blackmail. I'm genuinely interested."

"Why?"

"Because I want to know more about your race. Not for exploiting you or anything. I just really want to know, so that I don't cross any lines with you or put either one or both of us into any dangerous situations." The teenage vampire stared at me, a shocked look shadowing his face.

"In that case, let's drive to my house."

Hi. It's Silent. c: Sorry, this was basically just filler. I know I don't really have any readers right now, but when I do receive some, this note will just be sort of helpful for them to know that this wasn't me being lazy. I wasn't being lazy. I'm using a desktop computer and my vision is sucky. I didn't want to finish this chapter from the app so I figured I'd just end the chapter with indication that Kris is about to start letting Alex in his life a little more. That and this is on my parents' computer and I don't want them walking in on me typing about a human boy and a vampire boy making out, Oops. Spoiler. Um, that's it I think. Alright, peace out, fangscouts
