2 | Physical Exams And Randomness

It was about 10 minutes until the bell rings. I quickly get dressed back into my uniform. I'm about to walk to class when I notice I don't remember the way there. I turn to the Hitachiin twins and Haruhi so I can follow them since we have neighbouring classes.

When we reach the classroom, one of the twins tease, "Try not to fall this time, I won't be their to catch you." Kaoru, I affirm, he was the one who caught me.

I laugh, "I won't."

Haruhi and Hikaru stand there ever so confused.

I waved to them (where in they wave back) and turn to the next classroom down, my class. They enter their classroom, as I enter mine, and I notice my face go hotter.

I reassure myself, I'm embarrassed, that's all. About falling and having Kaoru catch me, nothing more.

A few hours later, the bell rings and I sprint over to the club room racing the Hitachiina twins (Haruhi walking behind us) and, being my ever so athletic self, lost. "I will beat you... one day!" I declare, weakly.

We all change into cosplay, Haruhi and I getting our separate changing room. She asks me what the whole 'catching me' joke was about. I stand around for a bit, thinking, then I remember, "Oh! Umm, well, you see... I fell but Kaoru caught me, thankfully."

"It makes a whole lot more sense now, I guess you owe him."

Huh, I never thought of it like that. "I guess I do." I confirm, smiling. I think about some ways I might be able to repay him, but nothing comes to mind.

I get out of the changing room. Kyouya hands me a list of jobs, again.

"HEY! ROSE-CHAN WANNA EAT CAKE WITH MEEEEE!"

I feel something jump onto my back, It's Honey.

"Sure lets eat some cake."

"YAAAAAAY!" He cheers, "C'MON ROSE-CHAN, I WANT THE STRAWBERRY CAKE! 'Kay?" The last word sounded cute and cheerful but there was a dark undertone. I nod slowly. Give him the strawberry cake, note to self.

I eat cake with him, it was some of the most delicious dessert I've ever tasted in my life. I put my hands on my cheeks and my eyes sparkle. I am, literally, star struck by the amazing sweet and sour of the key lime cake.

Tamaki twirls over saying, "I want you to eat cake like this all the time, Rosetta"

"Knock it off Tamaki geez," says the annoyed Haruhi. They really do act like a family. I start laughing in enjoyment as Haruhi scolds Tamaki as usual. Tamaki goes to his corner of gloom.

Mori stands behind honey holding a stuffed bunny.

"I haven't introduced you to Usa-chan yet have I?"

Mori stops honey before he can continue to warn him, "Don't talk with your mouth full." His monotone voice is strangely calming.

I see Honey take a huge gulp and swallows the entire cake in one go. Impressive. Honey must really - REALLY - like cake.

The host are about to open the door so I step aside. I don't fall like yesterday and I start organising what jobs to do first. Today plays out like any other day except today we have physical exams.

Later that day when all the girls leave, I ask the host club, "Won't they all find out about Haruhi being a girl?"

"Don't worry, we did this last year, we set it up in the special boys clinic." Kyouya informs.

He did this triple spin and pointed to me, yelling, "So, dog, GET THE DOCTOR COSTUMES!"

I sighed. Something hit me (probably the realisation brick), why would they even need a doctors cosplay?
