date night

Grace: I'm so excited for date night.

Nick: Me too.

Grace: I feel we see that much of each other we just don't see the point of being romantic.

Nick: yeah between school living together working together and raising a baby together.

Grace: we just don't have time.

Nick: then were going to college together.

Grace: we both got into haverhill and its close to family I know how much you wanted to make it out of this town after high school but our situation needs us here.

Nick: look I've come to love Middleton to my mom and dad are here my girlfriend and her family and my daughter and my best friends and thats all I need.

Grace: aww now you know why I never wanted to leave here.

Nick: this place turns you into a homebody.

Grace: Its not too bad once you get used to it.

Nick: have you seen Aria's teething ring she's crying in pain.

Grace: have you checked under her crib I keep finding it under there.

Nick: oh yeah she sits on the floor with her teething ring whilst reading her a bed time story.

Before the date.

Grace: are you sure you don't mind taking care of her.

Sam: of course not we can take care of our granddaughter for a few hours.

Nick: ready to go.

Grace: yeah just let me say goodnight to Aria she'll be asleep when I get back home.

Nick: yeah its going to be the first night we haven't put her too bed.

Grace: goodnight Aria mommy loves you.

Nick: if we don't leave now your never going to if theres any issues dad will call us and we'll come straight back.

They go out for dinner.

Nick: so how are you doing?

Grace: sorry I can't focus I'm thinking about Aria I mean she keeps crying in pain because shes teething and i don't know.

Nick: trust my parents they know what there doing.

Grace: I know I just miss her.

Nick: she'll be in bed now and I'm thinking we can go to the movie's.

Grace: that sounds great.

Nick: so how things since you found out  your dad was alive.

Grace: it's great having him around  I missed him I remember telling you how mucg losing my dad sucked how he wouldn't get to walk me down the aisle or meet his grandkids and now his met both is so great.

Nick: how did you not know he was alive if you found him so fast with your gift.

Grace: my dad was the first ever loss I've ever faced and I felt him but it may of been hin or his presence I just didn't want to get my hopes up.

Nick: even though he hates me I'm so glad I got to meet him.

Grace: he doesn't hate you he just doesn't know you well at all he meets you and you got his daughter pregnant he was more likely suprised because I was 11 when he left.

Nick: I need to find some time to bond with him.

Grace: lets head to the movies.

Nick: do you want to watch Aladdin.

Grace: yeah I really want to see it I watched the cartoon with Aria the other day and she kept giggling at the tv it was just so cute.

Nick: I wish I watched it with you.

After the movie.

Nick: I think that was better than the original.

Grace: there both great there are parts in each movie that are better im the original and the new one.

Nick: I loved being on a date with you.

Grace: me too sometimes I forget were still technically dating it feels like were married.

Nick: tell me about it everyone kept saying when you was pregnant I should marry you but we feel married and we will be married one day.

Grace: which day. Im kidding well get married eventually.

Nick: yeah and it'll be great we'll figure it out when it happens.

Grace: I'm thinking too much about the present.

Nick: I'm thinking too much about the future im missing the present.

Grace: it's still early you want to go home and you know.

Nick: I always want to you know.

Grace: we just don't have time.
